Well, Mama was an actress so she is more dramatic by default. And let's remember that Dillon was opposed at first, only marrying Cedric so her sister didn't pass away.
Like, I just feel like this storyline is so so childish it hurts to read. This whole world was created for her and narratively things just happen to happen…

Sure but like the flow of the story is so fast paced it genuinely feels like the action itself is just to keep the smut going from beginning to end.
Straight smut readers: hate the story, another crybaby female protag
Readers when female protag is competent: omg hate the story, it's going too fast and why are all her problems being solved so easily even though she's smart and used to be a doctor!?
My whole point is that the story flow is all out of wack, slop is slop which is fine I just don't get the hype around it when its literal plot is just to aid the smut lmao
I'm not complaining. I've read much worse.
