So early review ? At chap 5. I usually don't like extreme power imbalance between love interests so this whole ritual of total submission of the FL to the ML is a rough start already lmao. I don't care for the ML for now. I just hope the FL will show more personality ! You go girl bring those mfs down and pls FOCUS
I came back quickly but are we supposed to believe his proposal of being lovers in chap 7 wasn't kinda genuine he got rejected, after that his aide came and he said some bs like "i'm the son of the chancellor" ? Or maybe it's not him who said that but it was like...to reaffirm his status??. Lmao after that he goes to her to clear the "misunderstanding" by saying it's just part of the plan and that if he was fr it wouldn't be her i'm sorry guys but this is one of the most predicable thing a man could ever say after being rejected. Like instead of invading her private space, you could have just sat and laid down your plan like a normal person. Istg if a man i rejected ever came back with that speech i would just laugh out loud lmaoo and she was like "that's true, why would a man like him be interested in me anyway

This didn't need any romance. I really liked the first season. I started season 2 but i just can't continue with that jackass childhood friend guy and now that i look back, her relationship with the teacher feels iffy. It was wholesome but now that i know they are end game i'm just no longer interested. He is 16 years older than her, couldn't they just keep him as a father figure/mentor? He saw her for the first time when she was an elementary kid and he was a college student why ruin a good story like that... I'm not that even that bothered about age gaps if the story is good but nah i can't even defend this shit i've read maybe 40% of the story but i feel like the childhood friend guy should be treated like the vilain he is. I'm sorry but him and dara are just 2 sides of the same coin. He has a back story but who doesn't have a shit life in this webtoon lol. Girlie pop stopped hanging out with the only person having her best interests at heart.
Sure ive read till chap 50 but this was better written than any highly rated romcom on webtoon or here.
Like yes the characters were not always mature in their decisions but it felt really real and i always love a sensitive vulnerable ML.
I also didn't feel like author was dumbing down characters just to move a plot device, there was no lazy writing. I really liked the realistic portrayal of living with a stalker, same with how being successful doesn't magically erase your traumatic childhood and the urge to self sabotage.
This one had me on chokehold and I don't even know why it wasn't that good in hindsight
Dropped at chap 8. The art is absolutely gorgeous and i might resume when i'm in the mood for a cute story that requires no brain activity

Peak 10/10 romance (not done yet) but it's frying me how everyone is some director, ceo, executive and our girl is just an employee what i liked is that they both relate to each other as high schoolers with a shit home and no background to speak of then boom my man is accomplished
Edit : ive finished it and i rate their highschool days a 10/10, the rest honestly i wouldn't be invested if it weren't for the first part so maybe 7-8/10. I don't give a shit about office politics and the glorification of the 996 type of lifestyle (i already work too much irl that's the last thing i wanna see)
Overall the characters were complex even the pathetic second ML, i'm in the minority but eh he was so wretched throughout the whole serie it was kinda sad to see. Man needed therapy
Some things were brushed off way too easily like the meal at the the house of the 2nd ml. What his mom did was diabolical and i never moved on lmao. Like even on the last chap it was on my mind. It just shows how the FL loves her mom. Working at the company of that hag is a literal humiliation ritual, esp with her son around, that guy was just a net negative altogether.
Also i know the second male lead more than the main ? Like the author spent so much time crafting this pathetic yet ignorant character. But the ML ? We know some stuff from the first part but after that besides FACTS (like what he is doing for a living and even that is confusing) and that he is down bad for her what else is going through his mind??
I came here because of the cover, and stopped at the tea scene lmao i had enough. Let's just say FL is like a sex doll, no thoughts at all.
