This is another abomination and a crime against humanity and BL society. Because readers keep rewarding stories like this and calling them a LOVE STORY (please consult Google for the definition of love), the BL webtoon genre keeps getting flooded with the same toxic garbage while genuinely well-written romances get ignored.
Apparently, abuse is romance, manipulation is flirting, and accountability is optional. If this is the standard for a LOVE STORY, then the word "love" deserves compensation for the damage done to its reputation.

MC can apparently destroy the world, yet he still has to be a doormat for ML and forgive him without even getting an apology. That seems to be his core character setting.
And just to be clear, ML is much worse than MC's family. At least they are trash to your face. ML is trash behind the scenes while pretending to be caring and righteous. He's so devoted to the role that he even believes it himself.
ML is a pure peak manipulator and hypocrite. Couldn't endure it past Ch. 19.
This was such a good manhwa, but their first-time sex scene completely ruined my mood. It was so cruel to the bottom. I guess you really can’t take r*pe out of BL, I mean, I wouldn’t have minded it as much if it was only a little forceful, but the ML was genuinely so cruel.
Other than that, I liked their humor, the funny dialogues, and the fact that the author switched the roles. Seeing a pretty bottom with a manly top was good.

I didn't like the story at all, sure characters are pitiful but so unlikable and even after trying I couldn't bring myself to root for their relationship specially ML and yes I know he is the biggest victim but I just couldn't like them but you should give it a try maybe you will like it
but I think it's too much baggage to handle for mc from ml' side and you can't ever be fully happy in this kind of relationships and mc is such a sweetheart he deserves love and happiness too not someone' whole life baggage and ml needs therapy not a lover in this state

This story was good until its g*rbage ending - it turned into a complete sh*t show. The FL is a joke as an assassin because she forgave her biggest bullies and enemies - her own family. I don’t get it. Why is it that an ML can kill his family in stories, but an FL can’t? Even if the FL was tortured or r*ped by her family, she’s still expected to act ladylike or be a saintess. This is the authors’ utterly garbage logic.

ML is a f*cking piece of shit, just like the mindset of many Korean authors who write r*pe romance. What I hate most is when the ML treats the MC like a toy for his amusement - a slave, an object, like some household broom meant to clean up his mental filth - as if the MC has no human rights. And this manga’s ML has all of these trash qualities.
And the MC is a f*cking wuss - why doesn’t he stand up for himself and tell everyone that that garbage ML put a slave ring on him?
I love this story - it’s wholesome, funny, and full of action. And most importantly the ML is such a green flag, I feel bad for him. I like the FL, but she’s being unfair and cruel, barely even looking at him when it’s obvious he’d never harm her. How can she ignore that he saved her and changed her life for the better in ways she couldn’t even imagine?
