That man, the golden alpha, who hates relying on pheromones and prides himself on respecting his partners and consent…just had the most vicious post-nut clarity of his life as he realizes that not only did he absolutely wreck the MC, but he knotted him without consent. After smelling mad pheromones off of him. So like - pregnancy/responsibility risk.
Like - don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there’s going to be a whole plot line where they take him to Dr. Choi (convenient doctor friend introduced super early) to get him checked and “I swear, we tested and he’s definitely a Beta! I don’t even smell anything off him!!” But like … we know where this is going. But tbh I really hope this doesn’t become a pregnancy arc. Like I really REALLY hope this isn’t just another tortured pregnant omega story. The art and storytelling is way to good to waste on that tired narrative. So many other stories have already done it so well. I don’t mind if he gets pregnant but this early would be so annoying!! (As someone who loves omegaverse but hates MPREG… I know it doesn’t make sense but I just like the pheromone crazed sex but I don’t wanna see a baby bump and deal with the realities of facing down a pregnancy.)

His not an omega btw. And his knots happens without control. Actually the MC controls knotting, that would be explained later on. This is very unique omegaverse. I totally understand what you saying about the consent, but what happened in this chapter is the beginning of the big plot.( it got them off guard both of them)
And to be honest the story need plot to be worth reading otherwise everything will be boring.

Y’all are really worried about the morality of rape in this story when Xinlu is quoted as saying he wants to KILL Tauei and stuff his body to keep him by his side and away from Ilay (main story)? He’s a bratty psychopath. Y’all are goofy if you expected anything less than dubcon and rape from him. Context, friends. It’s a powerful thing. If you don’t like it, don’t read it.
I see comments like this under so many stories with noncon and dubcon and I just don’t get what people get out of screaming outrages about this into the void. There are tons of green flag stories with considerate tops who care about consent. Read THOSE if you can’t tolerate this kind of thing. But a lot of people (including some literal rape survivors) do actually fantasize about this kind of thing, so the genre exists.
I don't think the problem is with Xinlu because he's a piece of shit and nobody expects anything from him, but Yuri himself—who is much more morally upright than Xinlu—thinks what happened was okay. This means there's something wrong with the writer or the manhwa itself, not with the characters.
I don’t know how to make this more clear. It’s *fiction.* And more importantly, it’s *fiction* written for a target audience who fantasizes about this sort of thing. There’s nothing wrong with a person writing fantasies that blur or obliterate lines of consent, nor fiction that writes characters who like things that are objectively wrong. It’s good, actually. So people can have a safe space (a fictional story) to live out these fantasies without putting their literal selves in danger.
And on a more literal note: your logic could be used to say that we shouldn’t let the “Santa Claus” story exist anymore because it implies children would want an old man with a sack to sneak into their home in the dead of night. OR, if you don’t like that example, it’s like saying the show Lost is wrong or bad because the characters (spoiler) end up wanting to go back to the island and no one should ever hope for their plane to crash. It’s just goofy!
You have a point but i think the case with yuri is that he doesn't gaf about anything i mean he worked with ilay despite everything he did. He does the same with xinlu taking advantage of him. So i think he is weird too
I think you're right, I feel the same way, especially since Yuri is so suspicious (the idea of his obsession with Xinlu when he was a child and so on). What I mean is that the idea in general is outside of the characters themselves. If someone wants to have sex with someone else, it doesn't mean that one has the right to have sex with him whenever he wants, right?
You’re right - no one in this universe is morally upright except *kinda* Tauei, and he still tacitly accepts murder and acts of terror as a means of survival. Yuri is not a good dude. He’s just not a literal psychopath like Ilay or Xinlu.
