I'll just get this out of the way- the artstyle, both the current one and previous one, are genuienly the most beautiful I've seen, like even amongst all of the current bls that are dropping with so many different amazing artists, I am yet to see one that can compare to ca's. the way the artist draws light on zhenya and taekjoos bodies is absolutely stunning.
that being said, I kept reading codename anastasia praying for some good plot and redemption and yet zhenya keeps making it worse like I've started to give up on the story. ik there's gonna be plot changes soon according to the novel and zhenya apparently gets better but it's just exhausting.

this story is absolutely tragic and so beautiful it's one of the stories that has truly touched my heart. both nanmu and pilgyun have their own troubles that are so well written that i could place myself into their shoes. bwat especially did an amazing job with nanmu's past and how it's come to affect his present mindset (him thinking of himself like an object to be used and discarded, those few scenes were so well written I was in tears).
somehow, bwat even did the 'dad' thing well enough that it could be ignored (wasn't that bad) and still added a layer of depth to both nanmu and pilgyuns personalities.
