I’ve always grown to love where mortal x immortal tropes don’t end up in the mortal turning into an immortal to spend their whole existence with their lover, hot take I think the true essence of this trope comes out through this. It’s heartbreaking to see their lover pass on but I love to see like in that other manhwa (I think it was blood link), that the mortal one did not want to be turned into a creature other than what they originally were and just live their remaining life span with their immortal lover, and on the other hand how the immortal one did not want to disrespect his lovers wishes and he didn’t want to make his lover go through the agonizing struggle he went through as an immortal. It’s very that thing that people as lines only get to converge for a short period on ones life but the whole way for the other ;-;

Every time I read stories with plots that ukes break up with semes vv badly due to situations that would end up hurting the latter. I always expected that semes already know in the timeskip why their lover decided to do that especially when their living situations are greatly different, on the other hand, I get that ukes shouldve just told semes what happened. Authors should really create more distinction with their stories, true this gets more angst out but these conflicts get solved almost the same way each time.
