She wasn't a commoner she was a high ranking noble lady its just she had a carefree life even though she was a noble lady. She lived a simple leisure life but when she came to the Palace she loose that freedom and rules were so strict. Especially the empress dowager (current emperor's mother)
For me, what I don't like is how he doesn't has to take responsibilities for all his past crimes. He got to choose how he lives and how he dies. But he still doesn't admit it in investigation, and the police can't even named him the suspect. I just hope the police can find some evidents and announce him like what he did to her brother.
