When I was 15, I used to like Dengeki daisy (a mystery shojou manga where the female lead is 16 years old and her love interest is 23 years old); the age gap disgusted me, and while there was nothing sexual, the manga still romanticized and normalized pedophelia. I read the manga with a critical mind, and while I am glad that it didn't affect me, I never defended the age gap when it was called out and criticised.
