I was wondering why punish the descendents with such cruel life but then I remembered the ch where Michelle was telling rose about her and her mother's relationship and there was a part where her mother has all gold while stacking all the stones on her back. By that I remembered that one cannot just pick and choose all the good things while rejecting the bad things. Does all of this has nothing to do with the current generation? Yes. But with same logic families which has generational wealth and respect also has nothing to do with the current generation but they get to enjoy it.
Also I think rose ceased to care about Charlotte was because her decision was so similar to Edward

Ok I didn't wanna cry rn but here I am. Honestly I can't say I hate watanabe, not saying I like his character tho. For me I think the mangaka has done a very job in portraying complicated feelings. Humans by nature I think are a lil selfish, even when others are in trouble we think how it will affect us, which was portrayed by ml. Also he knowingly or unknowingly said things that he knew would hurt the fl at that point. In same manner blonde knowingly says stuff and pokes ml knowing he will choose him over her and ml himself and that will hurt the fl. Honestly ml is a great guy but ig I just want the fl to be happy for a ch with friends away from these 2 guys who keep hurting her, intentionally or unintentionally

The ml was cold (was gonna say cruel but i dunno if that's going too far). Not blaming him, this makes for a good plot, but man was he petty. He heard the words, he was bored, he played a prank on her. He probably also heard her talk with her father (again probably as it is not shown). There's no need for the ml to understand her situation just as there isn't need for the fl to explain her situation. Just that tho it makes for good plot, unfortunately I don't such mature palate to enjoy such characters. In future there might be a super sweet 2ml which I would fully support but won't end with her. Also the art is super pretty but I usually had difficulties grasping the ml's expression is

I'm re-reading it once more and finally reading ronan's chapters properly ( at the time they first came out I wasn't interested in the past and just wanted to see my babies so i just skipped them). So ronan really loved gold, though it was a lil twisted, didn't really like arthur much and there was houstan in past life too(? ), also the guy in the past looks so much like the current second prince of the other country and their names are similar or same too. Also I think it's safe to assume that gold's 3 child is visuten's(?) Ancestor.
