I can’t get over the absurd plot juxtapositions of Football AU Star Athlete x Music Genius trope and literal vampire nazis….

I couldn’t take a single bit of this seriously when it’s so so much breaking bad x brokeback mountain vibes……. I feel like some of those lines were straight out of bb.
Obsessed with how the artist draws characters and transition elements. The stylistic choices are just *mwah*

What i was expecting: typical mafia x chaotic scammer, angsty revenge plot, etc

What we got: cults, murder, chronic illness (but is it really?), human sacrifice epstein bs, i can’t even tell what year it is or how long these characters have actually been alive, potentially unreliable narrator, potentially supernatural shit, “wait did they actually start this cult and they’re way older than we thought??”
And it’s not even chapter 30 yet…

I’m not shocked in any way that its the same author who did crown of thorns. I could probably even say i expected it to a degree…

But this one really really takes the cake….. just the number of “drowning” incidents alone (actually it’s starting to get pretty funny.. I can’t take it seriously)

Somehow the culprit(s) ended up being exactly who i guessed they were within the first few chaps, but the context? Unhinged. Insane. Nowhere near where I thought it was gonna go. And it was amazing….

I’ve read so many wayyyyyy more fucked up pieces then this one, but this one is actually horrifying and worse bc it’s so fucking realistic, I almost wonder if the author knew someone in a relationship like this. Reminded me why I usually stick to the more absurd ones, because even if the content is darker, it doesn’t blur the lines between fiction and reality. Even the stockholm syndrome depiction in this is downright eerie with how subtly his mentality shifts, and how the brother just keeps making things worse even when he doesn’t mean too…
