Some of you are finding this probably through pretty panels on social media and ignoring every warning on the tin before you even reach chapter 1, then calling it the most toxic thing you've ever read. First of all that claim tells me you don't read that much or that widely, if you never go outside a 5 minute walk will seem like a world conquering marathon obviously. Second if you were actually reading the words, not just skimming for the smut, you would not sound like impatient boomers at movies. And third, if that little degradation kink chapter got you all scandalized then trust that real life couples in long term committed relationships are 10x nastier. Including cishetero couples. If you're not a mature reader don't read mature content, it's not a label exclusive to smut, you're not mature automatically after turning 18.
