Ngl I always hated the Harem concept but in this story, I REALLY don’t know wtf happens to the few concubines he had (think there were like four minus the Mc) because looking at the raws, after a dramatic moment including two of them (omg drama ) , they never show up again and basically disappeared lmao they also don’t have any children with the emperor from my knowledge either so maybe he got rid of them after the one event where they caused trouble? I could be wrong but if he got rid of them and only stayed with the Mc that’d make he hella happy ^^
In the terms of this story concubines aren't in a romantic relationship with him. It's just a tittle of power practically, one key thing to always remember in harems like this is sexual attraction =/= romantic attraction

I think what they’re trying to say is that it still feels wrong because sexual intercourse and any sexual act in general is very intimate, it’s something you’d normally only do with the person you have a romantic relationship ship or attraction to since you trust them most. Because of this it still feels like cheating regardless of if it’s only a sexual relationship or a title alone, that’s why so many people find it wrong.

I was confused too but I figured it somewhat the long haired guy is the crown prince but due to his horrible health he was supposed to die soon and the brown haired prince who cheated on the female lead was to take his place as the crown prince but he was sent into exile after the awful things he did to the fl. The prince who cheated on the fl and the prince that looks like him but the short haired version are all brothers. The long haired guy prince was supposed be recooperating but instead got involved with thugs thanks to the fl when he helped her help some people when she was in disguise a male knight.

God that was beautiful. Both characters were incredibly flawed in their own way but as I kept reading more, I found it really difficult to feel any hatred for any of them. I genuinely never thought I would never forgive the ML but somehow I did. I also understood where the MC is coming from. I know not everyone agrees with how it ended but I personally found it to be a very happy ending for both. I even cried alot for some of those chapters.The author did an amazing job with the character development for the ML otherwise there was no way this would've been easily redeemable, but it did.
