The story is actually pretty good and realistic (if it was finished, at least). The novel continues much longer, which is important, since the end feels ''unfinished'' (like some sort of ''open ending''). It seems pretty obvious that the ml's problem is not that easy to solve. That is why the end feels so abrupt and naive. Wish they could've just worked on the story till the proper ending and not let it end, when everything is only beginning.

I was mainly talking about people commenting shit like “this is so hot,” “I want more,” and “I wish that was me.” That is LITERALLY romanticising rape. Also, the story itself takes a man being kidnapped, imprisoned, sexually abused and forced to become someone’s “dog,” then packages the whole thing as an erotic BL “romance.” So please be so fucking serious with the “it isn’t normalising anything at all” bullshit.
Normalisation doesn’t mean the author has to write “rape is good” across the screen. Presenting sexual abuse as hot entertainment and having readers thirst over it like it’s some cute relationship absolutely contributes to it. And “just don’t read it” doesn’t magically make people unable to criticise disgusting content or the equally disgusting way its fans react to it. If you don’t like seeing people criticise it, maybe take your own advice and scroll.
