Apparently the rift between Garam and Heejae grew. Well I don't think it's Heejae but Garam since he's sort of isolating himself from Heejae after the incident.

atm, garam is ignoring heejae whenever they’re alone together, but they’re still staying in the same room since they’re in a hotel. at the start of the chapter, garam talks to heejae’s piano teacher (the old woman), and she immediately clocks that garam and heejae are together. she says it’s obvious from the way they look at each other, and she tells garam that heejae has changed. garam thinks so too, but he says he doesn’t know why and that he still wants more from him (completely valid, btw). then the teacher has a whole talk with heejae about the story of orpehus and eurydice (full circle moment). she explains how orpehus had one job: not to look back and to keep moving forward so he could be with eurydice.but he eventually looked back because he was overcome with doubt and the fear of losing her forever. she relates that to heejae and tells him that if he wants their relationship to work out, he can’t keep looking back at his old habits. then heejae has his usual crash out with the orchestra, followed by a whole internal monologue about how he’s always expressed his feelings through his music, and how what garam is asking from him is something too human for him. but then I’m assuming he has some kind of epiphany. after his performance is over, he doesn’t get up from his chair, and I don’t really know how to describe what happens next because you need to see the panels to understand it. I’d say heejae goes through some kind of metamorphosis. I’m hoping it means he’s finally accepting that he’s human too, and that he can actually show garam that he loves him. this was one of my favourite chapters, so so so good omg. sorry for the lengthy paragraph

I started rereading the manhwa because I wanted to download the chapters to read offline during my flight, but I got so sucked back into the story that I completely forgot to download anything and ended up binge reading all the way to the latest chapters
I feel like people oversimplify this whole manager situation. a lot of people seem to interpret it as heejae emotionally cheating on garam whenever his manager appears during their intimate moments. but this manhwa has always been about emotional growth and self reflection. heejae has always struggled with vulnerability, only confronting his emotions after letting garam into his heart. his late manager isn’t there because heejae loves him romantically, he represents heejae’s biggest regret. he never got the chance to apologise or make things right before his manager died, so hes still carrying unresolved guilt and grief. now with garam, hes terrified of repeating those same mistakes and being abandoned all over again. those memories aren’t a sign that he’s choosing his manager over garam they’re a manifestation of his guilt, regret, and fear of losing someone he finally allowed himself to love.
thank you for saying this, this is exactly what i have been thinking. this story has a lot of complex emotions and situations involved that i think are sometimes misinterpreted.

In the beginning he was probably in his mid-late 40s I think. Right now he’s in his late 40s. He’s just kind of skinny so his face looks more gaunt and older.

oh my days why did garam have to apologise when his anger was completely justified? and heejae needs to get a rock thrown at him cause his secret plans are doing nothing but setting garam up for failure… we’re moving 2 steps forward, 10 steps back

im glad garam is finally standing up for himself. I get that the professor’s plans usually lead to good results, but he’s so controlling over garams career that it’s making his musical journey feel stagnant. When everything is handed to you, you never really learn how to work for it, and I think that’s holding garams sound back.
I feel like garam keeps trying to see the good in everyone and overlooking their flaws because acknowledging them would also mean having to confront the way heejae has treated him and everyone else. and we all know heejae is the worst out of all of them
