I just didn't really understand, I'm not exactly young either, so I don't understand why I didn't understand .
I just didn't get what the relationship between Theo and Danny was, and why Danny got so sad when Theo left with Oz.
And then there is Chloe, I didn't get why, when Oz was being confronted by Danny at the barn, she let her hair down and called love "a beautiful curse"

So for your first question, I’m pretty sure Danny got sad because he was never gonna see him again. They say in like the chapter before that that his older brother had left and when you leave and choose the outside world instead of the Amish life, you are never to come back again so basically they are making a promise that they’re never gonna see each other again so I’m pretty sure that’s why Danny cried. And then for Chloe, I think that she let her hair out as like a show of like freedom because she chose love over a world of freedom and a future that she could’ve had a dream that she could’ve had and she kind of talks about that when she went to the outside world. There was so much things she could’ve done or could’ve been, but she came back and chose to marry him because she loved him so I think that’s why she said I love is a beautiful curse because you don’t just choose yourself. You choose the person you love.
Danny have trauma for someone he is close with him leaving after rumpspringa.
