It's because she knows that even if she fails now, she'll return in time. She's already too far along the girl's first life to change anything without taking some major risks so she has to act more haphazardly to produce results. Just because she transmigrated to a historical novel it doesn't mean she can act like what you dictate or base on your preference like "she's being smart and changing the fate that will befall to them" no, that mindset looks like a boomer who can't accept that the age they live previously is the same as today.

Also, how come she isn't strong protagonist? You didn't elaborate it, you just dissed her and calling her stupid for monkey's reason. She flipped the death flags that will make her first life into ruin, she's a risk taker knowing if she killed herself she might not get the second life that was written in the story (well she got treated anyways when she tried to kill herself), also there's no such thing as good environment the way the marquis family treated the mc(novel) when she was a child.

This manhwa is the same as others, changing their attitudes to survive not sticking to what's written on the novel or atleast avoiding some scenes that was mandated by the novel.

The point is the age before isn't the same as is now but was just decorated in this novel to be more "noble" to fit PG ranking. I can't argue with you about this if you don't know how it was before but also because, after all, it's a novel so there should be exceptions... Although here they made them quite big for no reason.

She literally just transmigrated without first better observing the situation and went all annoying kid with no self-restraint because she read the story before even though stories sometimes don't say everything. Just this would be a way for them to just lock her up as crazy.
She went around not even caring about people seeing the sword on her after she bought it even though she said it's unacceptable in the society. It can be done smarter.
She literally said "meh, I'll have the last word in everything" to crown prince while she has no power and even said her opinion about his lover to his eyes. Obv if you want to manipulate fate behaving like a stupid jealous bitch isn't the best way you can do it. It's working well just because the story is pushed that way.

Idk man. If I remembered my past life and got transmigrated into a hellhole, I think I would take my chances and risk getting out of my situation. If I die then I'd believe I'd either get transmigrated again or (even better) reincarnated. And if I die then I die so then I won't have to worry about it either way. Sounds like a win-win-win situation to me so I'd be more than willing to escape an abusive family.
