How are you going to make it that there’s gender roles within a gender but then for one of the gender roles they can develop the other gender role. We all know omegas are traditionally feminine people and alphas are traditionally masculine people so to make one of them be able to be omega-like is kinda weird isn’t it? Doesn’t it defeat the whole point of the omegaverse?

I think I’m confusing myself now

oh honey, you haven't delved deep enough into the omegaverse.

Okay, so the basics in almost every universe are as follows:
Omegas have heat and can get pregnant
Alphas have rut and can knot
Betas are regular people, depending on the story some can notice strong pheromones but most of the time they can't experience/sense pheromones at all.

Depending on the universe you have things such as pairs/bonds
->Regular pairs/bonds usually work in one of 2 ways,
    1) (the most common way) When an omega gets bit on the neck they are tied to the alpha that bit them, an omega can get bit only once (often it needs to be during their heat). This results in the omega being tied to the alpha that bit them meaning they can only share their pheromones or sleep with that alpha. If they try to mate with someone else they experience strong negative reactions

    2) (less common) Pretty much the same thing but the bond works both ways and ties them to each other, where neither the alpha or omega can share their pheromones or sleep with anyone else

->Soul bond/fated pair: pretty much as you would expect. You have a
'soulmate' and are drawn to them.
------->Imprint bond/pair- in the same category as these. If the 2 'love' each other they imprint on each other's souls and will reject anyone else

Now there are very loose rules surrounding the look of omegas and alphas. Though traditionally omegas are smaller and feminine and alphas are bigger and masculine.

The deeper you go into the world, you'll find alpha-presenting omegas, regular-looking alphas, alphas who are bottoms, omegas who are tops, super strong omegas, etc.
You'll also get more levels/variations of omegas and alphas. The basics are recessive and dominant but you can also find dominant alphas, extremely dominant alphas and supreme/mega-dominant alphas (omegas as well but more commonly alphas).

Depending on the universe people can also change gender with a variety of methods, some include:
    -Surgery
    -medications/drugs
    -fated pairs
-exposure to a high amount of powerful pheromones
-----> Some stories with extremely and supreme/mega dom alphas can cause a change in other characters' traits (ie. changing an alpha to an omega, or dominant alpha to a recessive alpha).

The moral of the story is the author can pretty much do whatever they want. Think of it as less rules and more like guidelines

How do you come to THAT conclusion after everything that has happened???? Creating conflict like that is kinda lazy

Hello. Just here to read BL and GL and remind myself what I thought of them and liked.

I usually read BL based on art first, plot second, and characters third.

I absolutely despise anthologies and stories with side couples but I might still read them if I feel like it.
