To add to my previous comment, I feel like the way to describe the uke is more like someone who has a hard time showing his affection/love (could be due to various reasons: simply their personality, they’re not used to it, find it awkward) this is something I can relate to pretty well. There are just some people who aren’t very good at expressing their love/romance. And yet I find it even cuter because though he’s bad at it, it’s clear the uke does really love the seme. He fucking tailed the seme, called the police on him and started a fire just to try to make him stay. And he also cried on 2 seperate occasions when the seme left for just a few days (because he thought the seme was going to dissappear). He also does some things more unconsciously like brushing up against the seme. So yeah guys he’s definitely in love. He just isn’t the “romantic” type that we may be so accustomed to seeing in romance mangas. But idk, I can relate a lot to this feeling

I personally don’t understand how people don’t feel their chemistry or thing their chemistry is ‘flat’. I think it’s very unique and cute. The uke is definitely into the seme. He’s always worried about the seme leaving and he even made a genuine attempt to keep the seme with him by getting him arrested. Being timid about sex and skinship is probably due to him not being used to being in a relationship, as well as various factors in his past (bullying). This manga has more of a “show, don’t tell” type of storytelling where you really have to just take your time and feel out the characters. Admittedly, it is a bit fast paced so you can’t just read what the characters are saying at face value. But personally, I think the characters have a lot of character. I don’t want people mistaking the uke’s more timid/tsundere personality as ‘flat’ because it’s definitely not.

Yo why are people so pressed about the toxicity here. Like in Killing Stalking and Warehouse where I believe it is arguably more toxic, people are like “oOoO this is so fucked up but I love it” and they have 9star+ rating. This manga isn’t romanticizing rape or anything (whereas warehouse does) it’s toxic but it’s not advocating toxicity. Just like horror/thriller movies show crazy psychopaths- it’s not like they’re advocating murder lol? Also, you have to understand that technically the seme sub CAN stop whenever he wants. Sure, it’s blackmailing and it’s still toxic, but all the seme sub has to do is be ok with his wrongdoings being outed. He is deliberately choosing to hide his wrongdoings by complying with uke dom’s orders. It’s not even like the normal scenario of blackmailing where someone blackmails an innocent person by filming some sex tape of them and threatens to leak it. Here is someone who caught someone doing bad things, who should really just out him from the get go, but he’s actually giving the seme sub a ‘choice’ instead, so technically he’s going ‘easier’ on the seme sub. The uke dom has every right to - and SHOULD honestly just expose the seme sub’s wrongdoings but he’s not. To me this is a toxic relationship for sure, but this is not rape.

you make a lot of good points,, but this is still sexual + physical assault. by being blackmailed, Mr Cha isn't giving his full consent... tho i guess in chapter 12 he's clearly into it so they're relationship may become less toxic over time?

I mean I am pretty sure rape is non-consensual sex but I mean what do I know it’s not like the seme is doing something he doesn’t want to do so he doesn’t end up in jail but I guess I’m the only who see that also Killing Stalker is consensual yes it’s toxic but both parties are ok with it being toxic so this manga and Killing Stalker are not on the same page (yet)

I agree with you it’s fucked up but the sex scene between the mc in killing stalking are consensual

Ok Killing stalking was definitely non-con(even outside of sex) until the uke got Stockholm syndrome and started getting into it (which is similar to what’s happening here as the first chapter shows that the seme sub got into it after being pushed to a certain point like KS uke). Also sure if you want to get nitty and gritty about the consensual stuff, you can say he wasn’t fully consenting because he was being blackmailed, but every moment even in his monologue he was deliberately choosing to follow uke dom’s orders. Also going to jail for your wrongdoings is the right way to go so please don’t make it seem like he’s a victim. It’s like if I was a murderer (of course this is an exaggeration, but it’s just to make it clearer to understand) and I got caught by someone, and then that someone said “have sex with me or I’m telling the cops,” and I chose to have sex with them instead, sure sure if you really tried you could technically label that “non-consent” but it’s not like I don’t have a choice. I do very much have the choice of turning myself in for murder and facing the consequences I should be facing.

Also aight if Killing Stalking wasn’t the best example, you can pick any from a handful of other rape yaoi that have a high rating. Like painter of the night (I’m not up to date on that manga but from what I’ve read,) pretty sure that was rape and people received that manga pretty well.

But imo I’m not bashing on KS or Warehouse or any because though they are terrible relationships, toxic, and contain rape, they aren’t romanticizing it so there’s really nothing wrong with it. And overall I just don’t see why people are bashing this manga for being toxic and rape-y (even when it’s not that rapey) when it’s not even romanticized. It’s not trying to cover up or soften what is an incredibly toxic relationship, it’s plainly showing it as toxic, as it should.

I get it if people dislike the manga out of personal preference of course. But to say it’s bad for being toxic and contains possible rape just doesn’t make sense. And that can confuse the author and people who actually like the manga because they could start to question if they’re bad for liking the manga which is just absurd. And I see this on so many mangas, not just this one.

I'm actually surprised people don't like this sex scene. First of all, this author makes sex scenes like I've NEVER seen anyone do before. I appreciate so much that she can make sex scenes feel so unique and adventurous while not even needing any kinks/fetishes. That's just so valuable according to me.

Second, for those saying it's unrealistic, sure, like being able to come that fast or being able to come just from someone's attitude may be a stretch IRL, but the point of fiction is to emphasize these things(passion) and I think it's hot as fuck. It's not unrealistic in bad ways like what some other yaoi's do, is what I'm saying. In fact I'd say this webtoon makes sex feel a lot more realistic just because of how much detail and nuance is placed on the character's emotional and physical side. The tension, build up of desire, vulnerability, embarrassment. It's all there, and it's so fucking hot to me.

So actually saw someone comment saying like "is the author a virgin or what" and I think that can't be possible because there's so much raw emotion portrayed that a virgin might not relate to. And I'm pretty sure author knows she's exaggerating the horniness as like a deliberate thing.

    Syliethen November 2, 2020 3:34 pm

Of course the coming is a little bit too much but I must say that there are guys who can come just by licking for 2 seconds and there are guys who can come doesn’t need any break still be hard af and come gain few times it’s really rare but it happens

At the end of the chapter look at what’s on Narasaki’s phone, it seems like someone keeps messaging him. I hope it’s not another love rival to get in the way, right after we were done with this one... I’m worried •-•;

I don't think so, I think it was just a panel showing him talking to friends. Everyone we've seen him interact with before was on the trip with them, so these were probably just some classmates checkin in.

I'm ok with drama/angst, but recently there have been a lot of webtoons in which there was too much of it, and I wasn't getting enough happy moments to balance it out. It does get tiring after a while when it drags out for too long. So can anyone maybe give their insight on this, and whether or not I should give this a read? (・ω・)

    D ace July 30, 2019 1:50 pm

If u're gonna read it,at least read it after there's more,at least up to like...45 or around 50,cuz nothing doesn't evn really happen and it's kinda slow paced and , honestly,I'm kinda annoyed, not interesting at all...

    Avonberry July 30, 2019 3:19 pm

^Same. You’ll need to wait a bit for more chapters to come out if you want to continue with balance. Both of them are pretty messed up.
    Spoiler below

Situation ends up being reversed later. He does end up seeking help from the other guy, and the stalker will be the one being tied up instead lol. But they do end up together.
