There are two artist named for these so may be one did the pretty art and then the other took over. It has happened a few times.
So many peeps seem to love this but there were so many holes in the plot. Relationship development was sub-standard, unrealistic timelines especially regarding Photographer Lee’s nude shot agreement which was dragged till the end (the actual fuck?). The part when they find out that they were one night stand partners was downright depressing. There’s no build-up to that moment in both ML’s and MC’s case. Bland plot development even after finding out they had met before. No sexual chemistry between the two which is fine but the lack of romance development was painful. The tattoo idea was creative but I actually thought there was real meaning behind it. Him getting it because it would be popular was rather dumb and distasteful. Could have framed it better rather than being a popular type of tattoo to get and that too, for women. Peeps, I have read better ones out there that squeeze my heart out. Clearly, the plot was not well thought out if i have so many questions even after the end. Sorry, this one was mediocre beyond words. Feel free to disagree with me and happy for you convince me otherwise.
I kind of agree with you, there are a lot of plot holes in the story which keeps the mind running with questions of why.

I can give you my recommendations but do note, I gravitate towards the extreme spectrum so it might not be to your taste. Vanilla is too dry for me so the MLs in the manhwas I read are always violent, intense and extreme so expect a lot of non-con elements. These are not in order of favourites but recent ones I read and enjoyed after digging around in google in search of good BLs.
Roses and Champagne - Mafia manhwa, on the extreme side but loved that it took place in Russia, the gorgeous art and the power bottom!
Circuit Breaker - Ongoing, have read the novel and it’s the best I have read so far.
Private Scandal - The MC whinges a lot but part of character development and he sort of tames down a bit towards the end. The ML is an absolute sweetheart.
Semantic Error - Cute cat and mouse love between a senior and a junior in uni. Not mutual at first because MC is not capable of expressing emotions. Loved this.
Dangerous Convenience Store - ML is so straight to the point, doesn’t beat about the bush but his gangster background becomes a roadblocker. Loved this as well.
Hounds of Sisyphus - Supernatural element, getting really interesting, kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Season 2 is coming.
Jinx - MMA setting which is quite rare to see. ML is inconsiderate of MC’s feelings, treats him like trash and now repenting his actions. Pretty intense. Ongoing.
Red Candy - Secret agent, pretty good and sweet.
Even if you dont love me - So tragic, so extreme and violent but well worth it in the end. Quite gore and disturbing for the average reader so read at your own risk.
Shutline - Drug syndicates, secret agent story setting. The art will grow on you. I love that they are both muscular hunks, flirtatious but not super romantic like other manhwas. Ongoing.
Mad Dog - This is a twisted one, extreme but not as extreme as Even if you don’t love me. Mafia setting, Sexual tension in this one is off the roof! Loved this one.
Dear Door - Loads of action, loads of smutty scenes sometimes abit too much. But I gotta give it to the author for her imagination of heaven and hell. The world she created in this manhwa was so epic.
Waterside Night- Omegaverse in a mafia setting. Relationship with ML starts with a debt MC is not responsible for. MC is not open and honest about his feelings so it was a bit of a pain to see them go back and forth but I still enjoyed it.
Glad it didn’t stop at a major cliffhanger. My heart would have gone into a cardiac arrest if that was the case.
Thoroughly put off by some plot elements and so what? Not all BL plots are created the same. I would rather read this than a predictable, boring and homogenous one. Not your vanilla plot but it kept me on the edge of my seat. I love reading gangster stories and I have watched a lot of documentaries on drugs/serial killers/crimes/gangs and the violence/gore/rape/exploitation/substance abuse depicted here were an accurate representation of reality. Not overly wild like in some mangas/manhwas but realistic. And based off of that, that ending was the sweetest thing I could wish for.
