He is unintentionally manipulative. He isn't doing an act, threatening Nanjo to be with him. He genuinely is feeling that way. I don't know Author's intentions but she lowk cooked a good enough bpd character
(Now I just hope this does not end w Mokyeon being magically cured because "Nanjo gave him a chance" and he actually seeks therapy, that'll be quite refreshing to read)
I don't have TikTok or Twitter, so I don't know what other theories are out there. But ever since the chapter where Nanjo beat the shit outta Mokyeon, I've had a theory. The only way I see them getting together is if Mokyeon somehow triggers Nanjo's savior complex....
And it lowk feels like it's heading in that direction
Diva is BACKKK but the chp was so short!!! Fym I have to wait 10 more days
I read a comment that said "it feels odd, what if it's a dream" unless Danrim cooks a good enough reason for it to be a dream, I'd be pissed if this was a dream. Plot-wise and pacing-wise, it will be repetitive. Also, amnesia arc, really? Assuming he has clinical depression, he'd just feel miserable, he'll only forget the reason why. Same goes for, if he has bpd, his core personality and emotional patterns would remain same even if he forgets his history...
I hope the "tests" they're gonna perform on bro, includes taking him to a psychologist to get him evaluated
The amount of "Mokyeon should move on" and "What Mokyeon's doing is so stupid" comments I'm seeing is sending me. There's a lot more depth to this than just "oh they're stupid."
From all that we've read, I believe Mokyeon has untreated, undiagnosed BPD. His coping mechanism is to bottle it all up and have occasional outbursts. Mokyeon went untreated because he had no one in his life to notice that pattern, and that haunts me ngl. Self harm acts like a literal circuit breaker for him. Physical pain, like yeeting out that piercing or starving himself, is much more palatable than the emotional pain he has been carrying.
I don't know how many of you have read Yang Ilwoo and Me, but in that story, Yang Ilwoo wants to off himself. He knows that afterward, his body will just be another unclaimed corpse that the government cremates, so he wants to get a diploma first. To him, that diploma is an anchor, "Look, I was a person, I accomplished something. I was here."
Similarly, to Mokyeon, Nanjo is that anchor. He wants Nanjo to be the last person to see him, not because he is a super calculative, malicious manipulator, but because he desperately needs a witness to acknowledge his existence, "Look, I was a person."
Imo Mokyeon and Ilwoo are so similar, both are "invisible children"

Isn't this the one where the bottom buys a HUGE ASS DILDO AND TRIES TO INSERT IT BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAHA I remember reading this on bato, completely forgot about it
