I'm seeing a lot of hate for the MC and ppl thinking ML is an innocent wittle baby and deserves better blah blah but imo MC's dad is right... ML is a fking dumbass. His every decision is backing MC into a corner and HE CAN'T EVEN SEE IT. MC's focus and priority has ALWAYS been to be the chairman, so while ML's efforts to win the bet is 'cute', he must be srsly delulu if he thinks snatching that position from MC is gonna make them skip off to lala land.
I think MC's dad set that baby condition believing that ML would forfeit the fight for chairman in order to have a baby with MC, basically a win-win situation where MC will finally obtain chairman position + having the strongest backer (ML) while ML can babytrap MC to him. BUT ML's greedy ass wants BOTH the chairman position and the baby. He KNOWS that he's the best and pretty much the only sperm donor candidate for the MC and feels entitled to MC having his baby. He doesn't even realize that MC having his baby will also force him to give up his life-long dream. Yes MC is not as romance-forward as the ML but it's clear that he does have feelings and attachment to ML, he's given in to his every whims and clearly has a giant soft spot for him. He wants the baby daddy to be the ML but not at the expense of losing the one thing he's been working towards his whole life. Now he's being forced between a rock and a hard place where he has to choose while ML holds the edge in both. ML can stop freaking pretending that he's doing MC a favor by wanting a 'fair' competition when the game is rigged in the first place, with him being alpha and automatically favored to win while MC is fighting tooth and nail to claim what is rightfully his. Literally there's no winning for MC, so I do feel for him, especially with the shit he has to endure with what's coming next.
It's just funny that ML claims to understand MC the best, but can't understand how CRUSHED and SHATTERED MC would be if he lost the chairmen position... all for a childhood bet that MC clearly doesn't remember and ML has made no attempt to communicate. You don't do that to someone you claim to love and do almost anything for. You don't become the biggest roadblock and OP to their dreams. And he's confused why MC isn't dying to have his baby?? Literally EVERYONE around them could see this (dad, the secretary), but all he cares about is that stupid fking bet. I don't think he has bad intentions and he clearly just want MC to reciprocate his love and accept him but becoming his biggest threat is not it. He's willing to risk MC resenting him over a BET. Is this not the definition of winning the battle and losing the war?

The amount of victim-blaming/shaming in the comments for a RAW chapter (aka most of us don't have all the context) is simply disgusting. It doesn't matter if he seems like he enjoyed it or didn't beat the secretary hard enough. He did not give consent PERIOD. Most likely, if he didn't know that the secretary drugged him, he might be blaming himself for going into heat and triggering the secretary to rape him and maybe that's why he's giving him more grace.
I'm actually really enjoying this story and the dilemmas the characters face. The ML needs to wake the fuck up and get out of the MC's freakin way. Again, you don't become the biggest OP to the person you love, you should be SUPPORTING them. If he had agreed to give up the shares (or communicate why he can't bc of the bet) MC would be preggo with his kid by now.
