Currently re-reading so I can pick the novel up, and man... I got reminded how much I hate the smut scene...
I love smut as much as the next person but it's so incredibly out of place here. Not everything needs to have smut early on.
And it's even more weird when it's not even in the novel from what I heard. Otherwise it would've probably felt less out of place.
Praying to God they won't do the same with THGLL. The smut was such a good payoff in the side stories thanks to that.

It's similar to My guildmate next door, which has a way higher rating but I liked this one way more.
In my guildmate next door the romance, especially from MC side felt so random and I didn't really like their personalities. The secret identity plot was more interesting because I love characters slowly figuring out the true identity, but in the end their romance felt very empty to me.
Here they have a way better romance build up and much more chemistry, even if the in-game plot was a bit more boring. Well, and this artstyle is more my thing
Omg! I think you’re the first person I’ve seen who has the same take on Guildmate Next Door as me. I struggled so much with the characters. They are similar but very different because I think the characters are much better written in this BL. The art is prettier for Guildmate but the heart and soul of the story is better here.
The hill I’m willing to die is that Guildmate has no flavor.
So both Seonwoos originally existed. They just swapped places early on.
They basically both just got returned to their original world at the end.
Once our Seonwoo got "restored" he woke up in the hunter world again (which was originally his home world) and Jehee kept his word of tackling the beginning of their relationship in a better way if he had the chance, which is why he turned up with flowers like he said before.
I just didn't understand why the swap happened in the first place.
Still hope we'll still get side stories to wrap everything up more and see more of the actual romance.
