genuinely one of my fav stories ever, i was so hooked when there were only like 10 chapters out that i binged the novel instead of sleeping for 2 days LMAO. this adaption is actually pretty amazingly faithful so far but the novel gives you so much more insight into the nuances of the choices and emotions of these characters (including the supporting ones) bc of the inner monologues. it manages to have an interesting political plot while still being effectively character-driven, and the author is insanely talented at writing people that feel and act like people, even if they’re bad or evil people overall. there are no one-dimensional villains or saviors in this story. and the tension and suspense between the main couple is just masterful. RAGHHHHH it’s so good
i miss the way tako was drawn like a cute floppy puppy in the beginning…he sorta got seme-fied down to the thicker neck and neater hair (i thought i was going crazy but looking at chapter 1 again after reading ch 29 the difference is so noticeable). it’s still a cute story i guess but RIP
wait pause. i’m sorry did they take a class trip where seeing a (snuff?) film of an omega being brutally mutilated is the highlight of the itinerary???? and talk about it openly when they get back to school???? my jaw genuinely hit the floor bc while 1. ml is independently horrible 2. we’ve seen mc get bullied at school for being an omega 3. i get that super rich ppl are psychopathic reptiles, it felt so out of left field that this is socially acceptable enough for any prestigious high school to facilitate just based on the setting/what we knew about mc’s life as an omega beforehand. ig that’s why the creator made it happen in a foreign country where it’s ~legal~ (maybe the whole thing makes more sense in the novel), but god nothing the ml does even phases me in comparison. i can usually stomach stories like this but i found that part so disturbing. WOWZA
For real! I think I got traumatized as well, I keep thinking abou that also after I read it TT everytime there's a warning, I always got nervous for the MC TT

Then he "pretends" to throw him away later, with MC not know where he is, who he's with or anything as "punishment" and MC thought he was being sent there, as he did regularly in their relationship until pretty much the bonus chapters, felt like. And not just tossed around "sold"... He was actively in the act with someone he didn't know who it was, crying for ML and ML got mad MC said his name. MC was relieved he wasn't being raped (?!). That's when I knew no healing would ever happen... That and the bath BJ ರ╭╮ರ

i didn’t expect this to be so good omfg… give us more ethereal and terrifying ukes like this. also insane that the scene of them making out had more eroticism than all of the smut combined from other manhwas i’ve read lately. AAAAAAHHHH it’s so exciting to find a hidden gem
