Girl, The MC was severely ABUSED. He tried everything to escape those jerks but he always get caught which lead of him getting beat up again and again. And the more he tries to escape the more the aggressive they become. Though there's still a tiny bit of so called “feelings” the MC to the guy it's because he was brainwashed by them. They manipulate him because of his situation that led them to abused the mc more and the more the mc got brainwashed and abused.

Your point doesn't make sense. He could easily call the police, escape, and start over somewhere else. He’s a man he has the physical strength to fight back with his own two hands. It feels completely unrealistic for him to just stand there and endure that kind of abuse instead of defending himself.

I get what you're saying about the brainwashing, but it's just so frustrating to read! It’s hard for me to wrap my head around why he doesn't try to fight back or find a way out, even with everything he’s gone through. It feels unreasonable to watch him suffer like this.

Honestly, he tried many times. I can't even count how many times he tried to escape that jerk. And about asking for help—no one wanted to help him even when they saw him barely crawling outside for his dear life and in that place people who had power can manipulate the authorities and mc know that the more he provokes the jerk the more the punishment hurt.

You dont know about how hard its to fight back physically. I am a skinny guy and also not tall due to which I get bullied alot like for 11 years and still being bullied (though not so extreme) and also my voice is high pitched so people make my fun . When you lack physical strength no matter how hard you try to fight back its impossible. Also when you are bullied enough and you yourself know that you are lacking so its not mentally possible for you to fight back

you clearly havent ever been a victim of sexual assault have you. its never that easy to escape those situations, youd know if youd been through it.

damn im so sorry that happened to you. i, too was always picked on for being weaker and i was beaten and insulted just for not being the same as others. people pounce on any opportunity to harm others they deem as weak. and those who do not directly harm people often blame victims anyway like that person just did, cuz they will never know what its like.
