So far, this is what we know about how things went down between Haeseong and Jiwon:
1) They made out and went further on the night Haeseong had a fight with his family.
2) Haeseong lost control and penetrated Jiwon without preparation, which shocked him.
3) When he saw the blood and realized he had hurt Jiwon, he became dizzy and vomited.
4) Jiwon cried because he thought Haeseong was disgusted by what they did.
5) After coming to his senses, Haeseong wanted to apologize, but Jiwon asked him to leave due to a misunderstanding, and his loserish ass just went along with it.
Haeseong was wrong no matter what and he was and still is a huge pathetic coward, even in his big age but im curious about other opinions. Would this be considered rape, or more like dub-con?
In my view, it is rape. He said "Stop" "It hurts". Right there, he should've stopped. Furthermore, Ex doubled up the power after hearing it causing the tear. I might say Ex is displacing his anger towards his parents to MC. So, from his face, there's an intention to hurt if we think about his displacement. This is just my opinion.
I’m pretty sure that moment happened because Hyun said, “I’ll let you do whatever you want hyung”
Anyway, I was asking the first question because it feels like the story treats the “vomit” as a bigger issue than the injury itself, as in that part affected Jiwon the most he even mentioned it in a previous chapter. I also wonder if anyone else has noticed that, so far, every time they’ve had sex, Jiwon mentions feeling dizzy and nauseated. I wonder if this is related to his first time or just random unintentional bits of the story.
Anyway, i never questioned who was right or wrong, it’s as clear as day. My question was whether people see this very specific situation as rape or dub-con, even though both are terrible and wont change the anything. I don’t understand how this could be read as victim blaming? English is not my first language but I don't think my English is that bad lmaoo
Thank you for this perspective!
Haeseong will definitely be around for a long ride, and based on how it’s been presented so far, disgust rather than the unprepared penetration act itself seems to be the more sensitive issue for Jiwon. It feels like an ongoing, unresolved problem between them that will likely be brought up again in the future.
Thats why im curious on how do people here see their situation? Rape or dubcon? How do they view Haeseong? a cold blooded rapist (derogatory) or as a pathetic, cowardly, spineless yet greedy and shameless person (derogatory)? Either way, he was wrong, should suffer more and give up like man had years and wasted them.
Haesong is both, a rapist and a pathetic coward basically. Maybe he did have a family problem and maybe that family doesn't want him to be "gay", I don't know and I don't care but the fact that he didn't reject Jiwon when he kissed him and even continued to do it a couple of times means he wants Jiwon or he like him. But what's pathetic about him was not owning up for his actions. He did it with Jiwon, could be considered a rape, and he had the audacity to act regretful and disgusted? pos. And then he told Jiwon he was getting married? Bruh he's so childish, wtf he acting like that for when he's the one who can't move on. That's what I hate about him, the way he struts up to Jiwon, acting all smug or whatever. And the nerve to get jealous? he really should look at the mirror, maybe he'll see what kinda mistake his parents did.
Well that's just my opinion
What confuses me the most about their situation is, didnt they ever have any sort of conversation after that? How did they allegedly manage to be around each other like normal even when that damn glasses juyeon girl in college, even ended up working in the same place? Without having proper conversation? Like what the hell is going on? Is this what happens when two avoidant people join forces lmfao.
Did he apologize for hurting him? If he did, did he explain the vomit part? Because clearly Jiwon still misunderstood. I hope the author will touch on this subject in the future because im curious about this part.
I think he will, at some point. I don't know if its just me, but i have a feeling that in the near future, that Juyeon girl will hate the MC after knowing the truth. or maybe not? But the wedding, its either not gonna happen or they'll get a divorce immediately. With how Haesong is acting, he clearly cant move on and still want to see if MC is affected with his marriage with Juyeon girl, I dont think Haesong lpve Juyeon, i think he's using her. What Haesong love most is himself thats for sure.
welp, tmo
The one hes about to marry isnt Juyeon, thats a completely new girl. What I got from Chapter 15 is that Juyeon was Jiwon’s friend, glasses clearly didn’t like how close they were, so he picked her in manito thingy to keep her away from him (then later told him that he picked him, and they kissed), eventually dated her dand two of them stayed close to him like a throuple during college lmfao.
I dont think he is bisexual, he seems more like a messy repressed homosexual who loves himself most and not willing to let go of his past.
From your comment, I thought you mistook Juyeon for his fiancée but yes, seems like he dated her after ‘breaking up’ with Jiwon (that’s why someone called it polyamory in a previous chapter), and now engaged to a woman named Seonhwa.
I personally dont think Juyeon would make an appearance in the current timeline? I mean, her existence doesnt really affect Jiwon’s, aka the MC current storyline. If anything, She was probably more like someone Haeseong used to provoke or stay close to jiwon after their fallout.
This is the perfect example of why you should communicate, because if Haeseong had talked before that marriage bs, Jiwon would have definitely folded. Now both of them are miserable for what?
P.S. I think the author loves seeing Haeseong suffer. I mean, every time he’s on screen (quite a lot tbh) he’s deservedly suffering, and truthfully, I enjoy it too. Every time i see him with dead, empty eyes or in an awkward situation, I’m like ‘That’s what you deserve loser'
The way he lets Jiwon’s wrong assumption that his brother has died continue just because he wants to be comforted LMFAO. Glad hyeon is the one doing all the chasing, like his ex said hyeon didnt even know his name until he was confessed to now look at him, desperate as hell for attention. That's growth!

Theres mistranslation in haeseong monologue after he said "Are you doing that on purpose to make me feel guilty?" He said "haesseo jiwona" which means "I did (feel guilty) jiwon" not "are you jiwon"
Im not even writing this to justify his actions or want them together, because i dont, but all of these problems couldve been easily avoided if he had just spoken up, its been a while since ive been this annoyed by a miscommunication trope.
They couldve broken up like any other uni couples out there, but nooo these two avoidants had to do awkward dance around each other for almost a decade (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Exactly, all these happened because he was and still is spineless. Anyway, despite the terrible things hes done, i dont think he did all that out of malice, like most people here believe. That being said, his pathetic ass ruined so many things for Jiwon, and for that alone, he deserves to suffer more, pay for his sins somewhere and get out of jiwons face
i also agree, he just yound and coward. Hopefully he grown a pair ask for forgiveness in future
Too cowardly to be himself or confront anything, but too greedy to give up and let go of the past, what a messy combo. He was young back then but at the current timeline he is a proper grown man so cowardice is a permanent trait lmao.
Like its very obvious that hes a cowardly, egoistic, closeted man, a proper red flag, but not really a cold-blooded villain like most people here believe. Im not even defending him, by the way, his internal struggles and family issues will never excuse what he did, even though those were factors that unconsciously drove him.
I guess what im trying to say theres are layers and nuance in this story? I just hope they get closure, and that he finds his own path, fix himself and leave jiwon.
Depend in the author for which person they want him turn out to be. Grow to be proper or forever a mess like how some ppl in real life. I wouldn’t mad at the author if he turn out bad til the end, but i want to be more of the main couple how they handle that situation!
