I think because it reinforces the cliche heteronormativity. Often the seme is sexually experienced man while the uke as the “female” reader insert traditionally is always the virgin. Thus maintaining the heteronormative acceptance of man being allowed a sexual history while their partner remaining pure until he decides to settle down. I personally hate this pairing because it reduces the uke’s virginity as in the case for women as well as a “prize” or an experience only the seme deserved. I know it’s reductive to place so much worth ones sexual experience, but personally this why I prefer two virgins or two sexually experienced characters. Why should one be allowed to “live” life in fullest while the other holds their breath? It’s even weirder that it’s mostly women who perpetuate this to other women in their own fantasies both within gay and straight content they create and consume.
