idk why authors like to pretend that someone wouldn't like help with money when they're poor, it's really boring to read this stupid fight. And the poor caracther worried about their abusive family is beyond me, I wouldn't give a fck to what happened to this shitty father smh it must be cultural bc I really don't get it
Yeomin is being called a whore and all sorts of vile stuff by his peers, his friends have turned their backs on him and the man whom he thought was the only person who cared for him has been doing things behind his back and taeseo didn't even properly introduce himself to yeomin so ofc the guy is frustrated and disappointed. It's not abt taking what is offered its abt lying and betraying someone's love and trust
it is about taking what is offered, that's the whole point. The only reason that he had to do those things behind his back was bc he wouldn't accept the help in the first place... paying his debt, taking care of his father, creating a scholarship, etc he did all of that bc yeomin refused the help he was offering. Imagine seeing the person you love hurt and tired all the time by something that you can help resolve and make their life better? I'm not even discussing if it's wrong or right, but in real life this whole plot sounds ridiculous.
The classmate would react the same way even without the scholarship bc he was in a relationship with someone rich and people are cruel... and which friends? he only has classmates, the only friend he has it's the hyung that slept in his house which still treats him the same way
It is if your friend or family member is constantly getting beaten up on a daily basis and then they tell you they're fine and that it wasn't as bad as last time.
Sometimes, people don't know how to ask for help because they loved without it for so long. Teaseo is the one forking the medical bills and Yeomin was forcefully evicted then beaten up. To him, he does not want to be in debt to anyone. To Teaseo, he doesn't want Yeomin to die due to exhaustion. Don't forget, he barely while sprinting class to class. Even going as far as to parkour. That's not a life someone should be forced to live.
Then taeseo should have communicated that properly, that he did what he did out of care and concern and not dismiss yeomins struggles as being pathetic. Keep in mind that yeomin thinks he's the only one who has feelings for taeseo so ofc he feels uncomfortable taking money from taeseo bc he's determined not to have such sugar baby/daddy relationship. There's a communication gap thats coming mostly from taeseos side bc yeomin has already confessed his feelings. Taeseo doesn't want to admit that he's fallen for yeomin and that's what's making things difficult for both of them bc I don't think yeomin would refuse help from taeseo had they already been in a relationship but as of now things are still ambiguous between so yeomin refusing financial help is valid
I don't think you understand Taeseo's character. Yes, it would've been much easier if he just confessed his love. However, that's not his character. He is detached, carefree, and a playboy. In the beginning, he swapped women left n right until he met Yeomin (well the author created shenanigans for them to meet). Even in his inner thoughts, he doesn't even understand what's up with him himself, he just knows he likes whatever's happening. Perhaps we'll learn why he doesn't want to officially put a label if he knows. If he doesn't, hopefully his secretary could walk him through (most likely won't, but oh well). Don't forget how jealous he got over his secretary giving Yeomin a napkin for his bloody nose. He genuinely doesn't understand these new emotions but he does know he doesn't mind them.
he will be furious when he discover what is happening to his brother, I hope the uncle get killed as well
