Some of you may not understand Hye Sung or may have a different relationship with your parents, but this chapter touched me deeply.
My father didn't "abandon" me, but he left to another city and distanced himself quite a bit after he divorced my mother. When he came back we had a very turbulent relationship during my adolescence, and I ended up cutting off contact with him because we fight a lot. After a while he always tried to get in touch, but I always refused.I felt very angry and abandoned by him, but at the same time I missed my father. I questioned to myself why he had distanced himself from me, why he didn't seek me out. (I mean before when he left). Then, in that scene where Hye Sung asks why she abandoned him, I felt that deeply. When I gave my father a chance, I didn't have the courage to ask that question, but we had our moment and we're working on improving our relationship. We don't have a perfect relationship, and just like Hye Sung, being around my father sometimes hurts more because it reminds me of that time when he left and made me feel abandoned by him, but little by little we're changing that.
Some of you may not understand and find this scene unnecessary, but I felt for Hye Sung because I went through the same thing.
I really liked this volume, the author did a good job showing their relationship problems, it wasn't cliche and simple as many bl make it seem.
I thought the debt was acquired by the female leader somehow and that's why their relationship became sour, but now I'm feeling that the debt is bc of mincheol and he ruined the female leader's life and now he's going to do the same to Ari, am I wrong?
