I honestly really enjoy the story but i can't help myself thinking IF taekjoo falls in love with zhenya, it will only be because of stockholm syndrome and nothing else... like he didn't have feelings for him before (he clearly hated him), and he seemed not interested in men (it's probably internalized homophobia) so for me it's not possible he could fall for him in any way. Meanwhile zhenya could only fall for taekjoo, he's perfect. idk prove me wrong guys.

ok so the rape scene was unnecessary, i didn't like the mc, the whole plot was tiring, the bad man was ridiculous (he just needed a punch in his bawls and we don't talk about it anymore) and the main relationship was so weird, neither cute, nor romantic nor interesting. i thought it would evolve but overall i was highly disappointed.

I don't think the backstory is to give an excuse to his entitlement or for all the shitty things he's done. But to further show how close they are as at least friends, since that part was mostly glossed over to get to the main plot. If you don't care about the backstory then that's fine but it's still a crucial part of the story.
