This series started out SO strong and fizzled out halfway through without picking back up in time for the finale. I feel like Mc's history with his family could have been captured in 1 chapter, but maybe the author has their reasons. For now I'm doing my best to trust the process and wait patiently for season 2. As someone who is not a fan of institutions, this man needs to be institutionalized . I know he would not see a therapist if it wasn't by force or court ordered. I just hope he gets help from the right people and the author doesn't romanticize the situation by having the uke help him. Please don't put that unpaid labor on the very victim mc raped.

Y'all, this story will have a switch no matter what. Either Enzo or Rian switches from their preferred role as a top. I am personally going to be pissed if Rian becomes a bottom and here's why: For a spy romance like this to work, there has to be a power bottom to continue the power struggle between MC and ML. I can't imagine this being Rian because he obviously wasn't into getting topped by Enzo *at all* so how am I supposed to believe he'll suddenly enjoy it after all that? To our knowledge, Enzo hasn't bottomed before or at least not with Rian, so it would make more sense for him to try it, enjoy it (at least somewhat), and end up becoming the power bottom. He would still dominate Rian and throw him off his game, which would probably drive Rian wild since we've never seen him with a power bottom before.

So I was in a somewhat similar 3p situationship once. I was in a throuple, dating a previously established couple (both women). Eventually, I found out one person(we'll say Ashley) wanted to have threesomes and open the relationship, where as the other (we'll go with DJ) did not. Ashley turned out to be a very manipulative and disingenuous person, so naturally I started clinging to DJ instead. This created a lot of jealousy for Ashley, which was ironic considering how she bragged in the beginning about being incapable of jealousy. DJ and I ended up hooking up behind her back a lot, even through Ashley requested we didn't. Don't get me wrong, the sneaky dynamic was HOT AF, but I'm not a psycho so of course I had remorse for my actions. Eventually, I told DJ I was leaving the relationship all together, and that's when she confessed to the abuse she had been experiencing from Ashley over the past 6 years. Y'all, this woman had scars from where Ashley had STABBED her in the past with an actual knife. DJ begged me to take her with me and help her leave Ashley, so naturally I did. I would be lying if I said there weren't nights where I lied awake, terrified Ashley was going to break into the house and murder us both in our sleep. DJ and I stayed together for almost a year after that, but we ultimately weren't romantically compatible at that time and decided to stay friends while she moved back home across the country.
