i check back every week hoping for more (/TДT)/

do we know if the story went on hiatus or something? it looks like the officials are catching up, could this be a break between seasons?

i remember he has a ? face at the start and ngl it woulda been cool if they carried that concept over, really showed that he wasn't meant to be in the story

The thing is the previous Kim hajun doesn't have an identity so he's just a question mark, now he has an identity albeit not from that world. By him having a face it also signifies that he is starting to be a part of the story, all of this was technically implied like on the first 5 chapters if my memory serves right

thats true actually, didnt think of that! - i think it woulda been cool to see them work with it just because he wasn't there originally or even like he gets more features defined as the story goes on to show hes slowly being integrated more and more as a key character

i've wondered this for a bit, but is the process of translating separated? like will someone translate the text and then give it to someone else make it fit into the story visually?

i was reading a story and they were referring to a character as a 'he', but it ended up being someone's sister- like little things like that seem like they would be caught. i dont mean this in an overly critical way, im sure the process of translating is hard and i appreciate all the translators out there! im just genuinely curious

comment: im sure little mistakes slip through, this was just what made me wonder how the process was done or divided!

Was the translation done by one of those AI scans group like mythtoons or kaizen? They rely on machine translation so pronouns are often mixed up and incorrect. Because it's not a real person doing the translation while paying attention to the context of the story

that would make sense for some of the other ones I've read, but I think this one might have been done by an independent person since I checked their chapter uploads and they were all new and for that one story

are there a lot of these AI scan groups? i like having new updates for stories, but not if its done with AI- Σ(っ°Д °;)

Hellow! Former translator here... The process I remember is usually [raw provider > cleaner + translator > proofreader > typesetter > quality checker] to prevent anything of that happening. The proofreader will proofread everything then give back to the translator then will give back to the proofreader till everything is good before it gets to the typesetter then to the quality checker. Anything bad from the quality checker's eyes will be thrown back to whoever's in-charge of that chapter before it gets uploaded.

But scanlations these days processes as [raw provider > cleaner + translator > typesetter] then upload.

To answer this... There are a lot of AI groups. But as a former translator, if it's korean, the pronouns are tricky. 그 (geu) is mostly he and used as a gender-neutral term. 그녀 (geu-nyeo) is she. Sometimes they use 그 as an all-around pronoun then suddenly you'll read that who they're talking to is a woman, especially murim ones. Tricky ones to add is 동생 (dong-saeng) which is younger sibling in general but also is recognized as younger brother or younger sister but if you wanna emphasize that the younger sibling is a younger sister, 여동생 (yeo-dong-saeng) exist. That's what I remember. I'm not anywhere fluent in korean but I use Papago and Naver Dictionary to make sense of the translation and it works
