I’m all for dark romance because my taste are toxic af but I understand that there must be balance so I usually have a fluffy romance waiting as after care for my own mind. That being said I’m not judging the author if they’re in their dark romance era but they should have just started a completely new work instead of ruining my fluffy palette cleanser that was clearly already finished to cater to their new kink.

I mean at the very least this could have been like a short, what-if side story so we know it’s not canon. Having a dark romance SEASON at the end of what started as a high school sweetheart love story is diabolical. Somebody go check on them because their head is clearly in a dark place
I’ve never been someone super picky about art styles but…. dear God…. this might have ruined other smut for me. I might start comparing my future reads to this for the remainder of my days.
