I was so sus of the teacher, and it turned out to be right. what a piece of sh!t. killing the whole family, and then playing around with the last survivor like that. imo he's worse than Dan, any day. Dan did some sh!t as a teen, and he's a psycho, but for the rest of his life he's been putting criminals behind bars and killing monsters that have escaped the law (we see more in the spin-off). That teacher killed innocents as an adult, and even after going free for 2 decades, he dared to get involved with the last survivor of that family, leading him on. I hope we get the last chapters translated too, it was a good crime story.

the reason we're supporting Dan is because he's doing society a favour. He's getting rid of monsters who have harmed others terribly, and would continue to do so. While he also murders, his victims aren't innocent, and the result of the murders is a more safe and peaceful life not only for the past victims (if they survived), but also any future ones that may have been targeted. Dan is also a police officer. He already locks criminals up for a living. He's already helping society with that. But he also knows the limits of the law, and doles out the deserved punishment as a vigilante in his free time.
Now, some may have read the other story where Dan shows up as a side character: Trace. Here's some spoilers, so skip this if you don't want to know more. We know that as a teenager he was a bully to the guy he had a crush on. Dan was a psycho already back then. But when his crush was killed by someone, and the law blamed the family murder on Dan's crush - that's the moment something changed, imo. Dan has been going after brutal criminals who also escaped the law, just like his crush's murderer, and been setting things right. Maybe it was a way to let out his frustration, maybe he wanted to feel connected to his crush that way, killing those murderers like he wants to kill his crush's murderer. Whatever his motivations, at the end of the day, his murders protect innocent lives.
Yes, he is a psycho, and the creativity of his killings, as well as that photograph of the victims he takes at the end, are clear signs of that. He may not even do it out of a strong feeling of justice, a G0d-complex, or empathy for the victims, but simply for his own fcked up reasons. All that matters is that he has done more to help than harm, in the grand scheme of things, whether he cares for that or not.
So yeah, I do think it's acceptable to support such a vigilante character, for as long as his victims remain guilty monsters, while also being perfectly aware that he's fcked up.

so this was supposed to be the spin-off work to the oneshot of the other couple we saw, the two guys Senzawa asked for advice. Nice to know this author has more works out there (and a sequel to this one), since they have interesting stories and cute dynamics

this is originally a manga, not a webtoon. this translation likely comes from c00lmic, which often cuts up mangas, rearranges the panels into a webtoon format, and sells one real chapter as 3 "episodes", therefore making a lot more money than they should. If someone wants to buy that translation that's fine, but this is clearly a sc@m, since you pay 3x the amount for just one chapter - and it sometimes comes with flaw such as bad cleaning. Unfortunately, I've seen it happen a number of times. Always rather buy the original Japanese work and support the author directly, and then have a fan/group translate the work for free.

I've seen such translations sold on c00lmic - please be careful not to get sc@mmed. If you paid for each "episode", then they're taking 3x the amount of money for a single chapter, and the worst is that the original author gets absolutely nothing. Always buy the original Japanese work, and have fangroups translate them for free, instead of losing money on such sc@ms.

Always rather support the original author by buying a Japanese copy and have some fan groups translate them for free instead.
