I know there are things you could criticise in the story if it was about anything else like if there wasn't a theater premise, but god do I love the idea of historical theatre and how she used some of the techniques that theaters used in the past.
I literally go to theatre performances every week, cause I love it to much and the premise reminds of so many of those emotions that I experience in each performance. Makes me wanna go back to participating in performances myself.
Look did I enjoy some parts of the story? Yes, but it's becoming more mediocre by the second. Like... do I understand that she'd be delusional about still being alive in her world? I do, but there's no nuance, where's her struggle? Where are the lessons she'd learn from this betrayal? Why are we not getting any reflection on how she laments leaving her old world behind and ponders on how to move forward and should she contact this maid's family?
She doesn't even question why the maid "lost her will to live".
And it goes beyond her character, it's just each character isn't acting like they're characters with different motivations and thinking styles. It's getting a bit to flat and bores the reader.
At this point only ML's brother is somewhat of an interesting character, but somehow all the female characters are pure nothing burgers.
you know the first step of grief is denial?
Maybe wait for at least a next chapter after she learn about the news.
Maybe it would have been rush to make the revelation, the shock and all the realisation and questionning in one chapter.
I m not saying that you are wrong, but maybe giving the benefice of the doubt wouldn t be bad.
