I know there are things you could criticise in the story if it was about anything else like if there wasn't a theater premise, but god do I love the idea of historical theatre and how she used some of the techniques that theaters used in the past.
I literally go to theatre performances every week, cause I love it to much and the premise reminds of so many of those emotions that I experience in each performance. Makes me wanna go back to participating in performances myself.
The seme has questionable morals, but Ike doesn't seem to mind it much, so okay ig? I mean it's yaoi, what political correctness does yaoi promise... But on to the storyline and content, in my opinion it's alright ig, not very well executed, not very though through, but just enough to be like a 6 out of 10.

I've read till chapter 42, and it does seem like he's not exactly growing up with the FL as much as he's remembering knowledge from his previous incarnation (previous dragon), but if you have a strong aversion to even alluding tropes, I can't recommend this.
Small spoiler tho. She also occasionally will shrink when her power is exhausted, and he pretty much is "grown up" by like chapter 42-45.
Anyways, are there worse shoujos out there, yeah? Is this one good? It's got its good points, but do keep in mind the slight weirdness of the trope...
This story...the pacing, the drawing style, the premise... Everything is perfect, down to the minute details. I need this story to never ever go into hiatus.

I understand if it was a random unsuspecting woman getting Stockholm syndrome, but she literally knows the plot of the story, knows he's a serial killer, knows she's in a novel. (which should've made him look less like a person and more like the monster he is)... And idc that she did something to him in her past past whatever life. It's bullshit. That guy deserves the electric chair for all those poor women he mistreated.
And FL isn't disturbed enough by the shitshow she's experiencing.

It's like that other ruined manga about the villainess reincarnating and getting trapped by the ML, now for trying to free him. But this one is arguably worse, because here he goes full on psychopath and we aren't expected to feel utterly repulsed?
It's really good, the story has a good premise while still keeping itself to the isekai trope. But in this case what makes you recoil is the translation. Literally horrible translation, had to read it in another language to avoid it. (I don't think even plain Google translate makes dialogues sound this nonsensical)...
Like ... I get why Lael is the ML and up to now he's been wonderful to the FL, but it's just shallow idk. It's weird that we don't get any compelling explanation on how FL starts to see Lael as a potential partner and not the young aristocrat she used to serve. Nor do we get a good look at ML's attachment feelings, he just kinda meets her after years and falls in love with her for her talent? or because of familiarity? Idk, I'm just guessing here.
There's no real emotional bond that would make me root for the ML over the king, for instance. At least he seemed quirky and self aware. Label seems one-dimensional, flat.
It's a shame, because the manga is pretty, but the interesting premise is not explored enough and the romance feels rushed, which doesn't happen with even lower quality comics.
Everything feels rushed, can't help but wonder if they cut a ton from the novel is was based off (if such is the case).
