Side couple rant (I don’t remember the names): blonde (A), hurt guy (B)
Everyone is talking about how A should pursue B and how the chasing arc should be prolonged so he understands how hurt B is, is just ridiculous. I’m not sure if theres anyonei who is so blind to someone else’s feelings but apparently A is, and B is someone who is dear to him which he always considers a best friend. He can be selfish but if we remove the unrequited love aspect, we can sometimes act like this in a friendship. Ok for example if B has no feelings whatsoever for A, and he’s just a side character for A to vent to when pursuing main couple bottom, do we still hate A for treating B like this? I mean in so many BL the friend they are super closed with also get pushed aside and all that but the friend is all supportive.
Now back to them, A doesnt know about B’s feelings. Instead of trying to win over A’s affection like a normal person, he threw away his friendship giving a one liner confession and then got out of his life. I haven’t seen A taking advantage of B because he knew about B feelings so it’s perplexing people are blaming on A for B’s unrequited love. And he’s the one in love yet A has to be the one who chases him and people are mad that A is still confused or not giving him enough reassurance. This is really ridiculous. Can you imagine your best friend who you really only take to be a friend confessed to you but blamed you for their hurt and then leave your life and then expecting you to chase them? Yea… idk if you think it makes sense then so be it. At least it’s not for me. I know B is hurt on his own way but honestly I don’t see him even doing anything to fight for A affection. Can you imagine if the roles were revered? Im sure everyone will be telling a to go find someone else instead.
ye A really saw him as a best friend, and if youre best friends obviously youll be closer than a regular friend, he'd have no reason to read into B's actions and assume hes in love with him if B doesnt tell him, (and especially with the amount of things B has apparently been keeping from him and not showing him his true self) B is a masochist that niether confessed nor moved on, and now A is getting the punishment of losing his best friend and not being given a chance now that he has this new information
and i say this a lot but your feelings can only be as deep as the amount you know about the other person, so i dont think A's feelings were any deep about first couple's bottom anyway, just a childhood crush fixation he didnt grow out of etc, so him getting over it quick as an adult isn't some big thing, liek ye one day he finally met him, got his answer and let go, its not "him replacing him with B", and blaming him for not seeing B in a romantic light until this point is unfair cause why would he? how much do you on average spend thinking romantically about your friends? does it mean if they suddenly feel romantically about you and that ice is broken and you see them in that light now, you gotta be blamed for not doing it sooner?? B kept it in till he exploded and A is getting the punishment for it
This is why Seojoon (B) pisses me off so much. First of all, no one owes you love just because you feel something for them. That's not how it works. And second, dude, how do you expect your love interest to get to see you romantically if you never do anything for their perspective to change? Maybe I'm one of the oblivious kind, but nothing Seojoon did screamed "I love you" to me. To me it was all "good friend" stuff, maybe a great secretary conduct too.
If Seojoon wanted something more, he should have been more transparent with his feelings. Him leaving like that was unfair and hurtful and honestly, he doesn't deserve to be chased so earnestly.
You can argue that Blondie was blind, but that's pretty normal. As it was said before, you don't really spend your time thinking "wait, is my friend just a good fried or are they in love with me?"
I agree that for Blondie it was just a childhood crush with the Baker. Blondie gets the hate for no reason.
First of all, it’s a stress free read and that’s a good thing. But it wasn’t wrong when someone said it was kinda cringy. I think the only reason is because the dialogues are so flat. This could’ve ended in like 8-15 chapters to be honest and it would’ve been better. Many chapters were so filler like. And they tend to jump around a lot. Once again, dialogues are really flat, scenes are not smooth and that the feelings are all over the place. Totally no emotional connection with both of them but I do like this kinda trope and thankfully no 3 guy messing them up and no non con. I wouldn’t read it again but I don’t feel like I wasted my time reading this. It’s a good break from all the unnecessary drama and traumatic bl updating at the point.
The real question is…. What happened with the manager at the pub. He gave Yuki a job and then there’s no mention of him anymore after they ran away. Imagine losing your staff and regular at the same time.

Why did they waste so much time on that sunbae? He’s so freaking annoying throughout the whole last season and it didn’t even add anything helpful to their relationship since they were really strong. I felt it’s so unfair to the top when he was already fearful of relationships and then this guy is just lingering around and even taking advantage of the bottom so many times. I have no idea why nothing is mentioned to the bottom. I was seriously freaked out and stressed the whole time because it’s like asking for trouble to happen and the bottom seems so clueless about it. He questions it but he does nothing. Omg he is gay and he tried to seduce byul and top how can he be so clueless toward another man advancement. For the top, I think he did his part very well to get rid of his own sunbae. But the bottom? Seriously, it’s not about the trust ok. The world is full of shitty people, having trust for your partner doesn’t mean they are safe from things. And he just keeps getting drunk and falling asleep in someone’s house and the top still chose to remain silent. Like the bottom has a peace of mind regarding top crush but why don’t they just let that sunbae go with a clean break. Such a lame end of the bottom words being his shackles so he won’t be pursuing. Really? Just like that? And even asking the top out like wth? There’s not even a competition in the first place what is wrong with him. It’s not like the bottom didn’t make anymore friends and only had this dick friend in his campus. It’s also super annoying how he keeps calling someone’s bf a jerk when he’s the bigger asshole here. Idk I guess I’m also overreacting but I just felt like this whole section was such a waste. I couldn’t even enjoy the smut scenes cause I just wanted to see him out of the picture and it took so freaking many chapters and it didn’t even end that clean for me. I’d rather they explore the relationship how they can open up more or spend that many chapters of their family bonding instead of just squeezing that last chapter in like that.
And sunbae was around until the end so I almost forgot how I was enjoying the whole thing at first.
I find the beginning really funny, their misunderstanding and miscommunication of main didn’t drag out as long which is super good. It was extremely funny when that 2nd part timer came into the picture and somehow they just dump so much information on him and how he always complains he wants to quit. All these are so good. Even when 2nd couple’s characters were unlikable in the beginning, it was still really enjoyable. But yeahhhhhhhhh the unnecessary amount of the sunbae just took away all these fluff and happiness and it felt like the end was toooo short to overwrite the damage of the sunbae arc
I totally agree. I thought that I was the only one. I kept skipping chapters just so that I could finally see the confrontation with the Sunbae and finally read in peace but it never came. This made me so mad that he just got let off the hook like that when he was even worse than the top's past crush
Because of this I couldn't truly enjoy the ending of the story because what...? They just stay friends? So he's gonna continue trying to seduce the bottom when it seems like the bottom's in a rough spot? I just think that letting the Sunbae continue to be friends with dongho will cause problems later on in their relationship.
Yes exactly!!! It has been days since I finished this and usually it’s out my mind as I continue to read other manga / manhwa but I have no idea why this gets stuck in my brain till today. It ruined such a nice story because without this guy the whole story was nice and light to read. I guess this sunbae character just rubbed me off the wrong way and like you said how are they might still be friends especially since drinking parties seems very frequent and normal. I feel that it’s such a scary situation. There’s totally no redemption arc or a character growth for this sunbae like just adding scene where they are drinking and bottom gets drunk and sunbae actually calls top to come. It would somehow make things feel a lot better.
Firstly of course I’m really thankful for the uploader for the effort and for providing more reading materials for us readers here.
But I really have to say newer stories (not just this) seem to have love really lacking. I’m a 5-6 chapters reader so any more than that seem long to me already but basically there’s so much lacking on a emotional level. The uke(s) are getting more and more annoying like fl in straight manga. It’s really sad if the newer ideas are going into this direction. I fell in love with yaoi and switched from smut because I like how straightforward the love is. I like how normally 1 like girls and we feel that heartache but they end up being tgt. But nowadays story plots are really so weird.
Again I’m thankful and I’m not hating on this story and the rest. It’s just that I’m missing the love, fluff, and slight heartache I look forward to from yaoi manga.
How is this good? Chapter 4 and top ispissing me off so much. Just because he thinks he’s the bottom, his love is wavering just like that? Definitely it’s shocking but then he’s the one who forgot and then ran his mouth, running away without trying to solve anything and after he finds out he IS the top suddenly everything is ok and he’s all happy? Why is the bottom doing all the work when the top was supposedly the one who “loves” bottom so much. Disgusting.
i think you’re taking this more seriously than we thought bcs this was just supposed to be a rom com short story but i’ll explain from my pov.
to start, the top literally waited for the bottom for years, planning and research for years bcs he wanted to “deliver” the best for the bottom. but it is annoying tho, everyone here is fully aware that his personality is annoying but it’s the way the bottom handled it matured ly that makes it good. see the karma hits on his bigass ego bcs the bottom keep manhandled him on bed? that’s what keeping everyone going! the bottom!
it’s like one disaster can be tamed kinda story so just read it lightly, the top simply got frustrated bcs his years of planning got ruined. childish? yes. but imo it doesn’t warrant the hate or disgust that much bcs he doesn’t even say that he’s automatically didn’t love the bottom bcs he didn’t get to top him, he just says that he can’t imagine himself being a bottom after planning to be a top for years and exclusive tops exist, we know.
but i can’t change anyone’s opinion tho, if you think that this is bad then it’ll be bad on your pov, you’re entitled to your own opinions. i just thought to soften the blow a bit bcs i read this lightly and just thought that the top is pure childish but at least the bottom handled him well, that was all to it :)
Thanks for taking your time. Actually this is the 2nd time Im reading this cause I was looking for lights camera action but I think someone gave the wrong link to this manhwa. I remember reading it before and since it was short I just reread it to pass time and I can’t even get past chapter 4 this time. I have no idea why I simply dislike it this time round but I just really did. And I totally get what you are saying. I know it’s a short simple no brainer story. I also know why would he feel shock and upset. I do but at the same time it just irks me at the way he ran away. Throughout these many years of liking the bottom, other than “changing” or improving himself he really did nothing except confessing numerous times when he was drunk. Again again, it’s not like idk it’s just a silly short story to pass time. Theres no plot so to say, just enjoy the art and at least thank god it’s not heavy. It’s just…… his love felt so shallow throughout this whole story and it just ruined it for me this time reading it. But thanks again for your reply. I know it feels bad and puzzling to have someone dislike something we like that we think is cute and compared to so many disturbing manhwa out there this itself actually good and light and that’s why it’s hard to understand why so strong emotion towards just a simple story.
