That's the point. It's Jiheon coming to terms that he wants Jaekyoung to win at everything. Including arguments with him. This whole sex IS supposed to be awkward. But it shows each of their characters more.
This is the start of Jiheon truly developing feelings for him. They become sex buddies to lovers, and let me tell you (as a novel reader) Jiheon falls madly in love with him.
Jaekyoung is a very affectionate lover and couldn't be any more of a simp for Jiheon. Haha!
