Everyone in the story saying Simon knew how she felt since she was young, really? So why go around jealous, possessive and man-whoring? I see more dedication in animal couples than him to FL... At least he waited until she got older... recent batch has so many irresponsible age gap couples I'm getting sick
But him beliving SHE was experience when he KNOWS his sister was the one changing BFs... is he really smart? Because he couldn't do a 2+2 here... or is just bad writing and bad editing? (As "Beware of the Villainess" once said, authors tend to tag intelligence to a char but they themselves have NO idea how to make them minimally smart in facto, FOREVER Melissa-nim!!)
Also... the level of non realism of her company hiring her to be a client's personal bed warmer is... Gods... kill me.... it may happen in extra sexist countries in East Asia, but even there the company is reprimanded if women tries to sue them for these practices... I can't even fathom what would happen if that happened in UK or in the EU...

He used his father to keep her then BF away and then dimisses his father as soon as she is single again... Oedipus is strong here xD
FL shouldn't act so hostile all the time, it is tiring and every plan to get brownie points turning into smoke is embarassing, I have the impression that normal (not in an abusive one) divorced people are not that awkward, and opposing everything to spite, even good ideas is bad parenting
ML should have been clear from the start (he had no excuse to never hold his child either), ask and confirm everything with the mother rather than beliving in his son point black like that, how about sitting and talking while married too? You guys seem capable of that! (and oh gods... what is wrong with the authors? he was 26 when FL was 18??? She was barelly legal!! At least he did have conciousness to say it was not right in the past) and as FL said, what does he know about his kid?he just send gifts to have his favor... And why undermine their routine? at least talk about it what he can or cannot do, she's his legal guardian after all!!

First of all, that doctor seriously lacked sensibility and tact... some women CHOOSE to not have children and that's ok, emphasis on 'CHOOSE'! But trying to comfort a woman whose lost that option like that?? That is certainly NOT!
the FL acted like a real human, sometimes thinking of others and being considerate... sometimes being very selfish, and certainly needing time to heal. Trying to avoid the truth was relatable, at least for me...nothing very serious in my case but still I can somehow relate. A pinch of a drama queen but who isn't really? Hearing how ML wanted and had plans for unborn children is quite mentally straining while not being able to have children and loving the said person, not wanting to disappoint and having anxiety over his future reaction...
I wish we could see her working with a psychology specialist or a psychiatric doctor, to normalize a little bit more in our medias, mental health matters people, do not neglect yours!
Gods... I know it's the exception but I hope to find more Kais in Harlquins in the future, he was a little overbearing sometimes but he was fun, gentle, kind and could read how she felt most of the time... his words and how he treats FL are beautiful!! They built their relationship and learned about each other like a proper couple!!

Having a trauma of her mother marrying too many guys is kinda ridiculous... it's not like FL was abandoned for her stepfathers by her mother... she clearly cares for her daughter if those marriages fell apart because of FL not having a BF
And ML's mom should have wrote a letter explaining the whole story...

Just as the title says, this last batch of Harlequin was SO BAD this one looks reasonable
This one doesn't have rape/attempt, gaslighting, cheating people or controlling ML so it looks quite ok
But, I always thought actors started on theather rather than TV/movies in their early careers at least in my country it is like this, so many of our most veteran stars started as theather actors and are amazing on both stages... FL and her father having stage fright that extreme seems very absurd to me, but IDK how UK entretaiment are with their actors... ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
starting from the stage before going on tv is the classic route even today. but in today's world where many actor were discovered on social media or came from other backgrounds like singing or modeling, less and less actor start from the stage after formal theater studies.
1. He had sex with an underage girl AFTER knowing she WAS underage and got married to her after she got pregnant... it starts there...
2. She had no chance to spread her wings, no friend to talk with and no other place to other than MIL or her parents or her only friend, this is VERY DEPRESSING, her world is so small she had no where to go when sad...
3. She decides to feel better shopping... did a man wrote this?!?!? Is she so 2D to feel better after shopping, and a makeover??? How about going for things to do outside your domestic life???
4. The fact that business associates didn't know about her is pretty messed up, like, if he's with his wife on what clearly appears to be a date, the common courtesy is for HIM to greet them first... It was like he was hidding her, (don't you dare come with he wants to monopolize her because love that is called obsession and objectification in my dictionary)
5. If my friend was living the miserable life she was, being stuck at ther house, unkept and naivelly due to babysitting the whole family I would be hostile to the Husband too, "YOU FUCKING STOLE HER LIFE YOU PRICK I HOPE YOU GO TO HELL!!"
6. She just gave up on persuing something outside because she was pregnant with twins AGAIN!!! Nice pair of shackles you got there FL, hope you are proud to be ignorant and uncapable to survive without a husband for the rest of your life!

Jokes aside, the author tried to make a FL extremelly (in the bad sense) unconventional and a super strange... ok, fierly countryside girl but are they really obsessed in having a child to keep the lineage? Maybe get a husband but getting pregnant before it's quite strange
The same must be applied to ML... basically the author tried to make a Tony Stark out of it... overachiever genius... not very likable. They are quite flat as characters, no fears, no personality, no dept enough to be a good story and cast
This story was much healthier than the last batch of Harlequins, which is good. But something is missing in thr narrative standpoint...
It was half decent, just saying that ML was a douche when jumped on conclusions of why she had to hide her identity, ("who you are" is quite tricky to deal with when a bomb like that appears...), ML was also conceiling his identity... HYPOCRISY I say!!
Adam was annoying at most, he could stop policing FL, it had weird vibes...
Hopefully the mangaka doesn't use the overused cliches and bad tropes of Harlequin Mangas when writing her stories

Fun fact (not), PIRANHA is one of many ways to call a woman in a very derogatory manner in Brazilian portuguese, something close to btch, I think... basically ML brought FL to a club that is, well... a way to offend women... just fitting for ML's personality
It was cute and good thing the women here knows what's right from wrong... Imogen with her father trying to marry a younger woman using his daughters, Dina for her father being a horrible stepfather and Lyvia for standing up to her mother and marrying the man she loves
