I personally believe that it is alright to read as long as you do not try to ¨fetishize¨ these kinds of things. For example, thinking that yaoi or yuri is everything. Some people will say that just reading yaoi or yuri in general when you are straight should not be normal while others think that it is perfectly fine. Some are also in the middle of those opinions. I think that this just depends on how you express your opinions concerning yaoi and yuri. If you ship real-life people just because it seems like some yaoi or yuri fairy tale, then that should not be normal. Other than that I think it should be fine! (I personally recently admitted to myself that I was bi after denying it for so long so you can consider my words from those of an lbtq+ person, however, the opinion on this topic will surely change depending on the person so don't forget that!)
