I just don't understand, why konrad needed to kill him? When he finally found him. Jeorme suffred so much. Was it to break blood pact? Was killing him was the only way. Jeorme didn't do anything wrong.

I may be wrong cs I read that chapter a while ago but Konrad didn’t want to subject Jeorme to the same grueling interrogation and harsh treatment he had to go through after City J becaue of how inhumane it was. Jeorme was going to die sooner or later and tbh it’s more merciful and provides closure at the hands of his previous lover rather than being put down like an animal by the higher ups. There was also no way Jeorme and Fabian could co-exist both as Konrad’s partners.

I reread part of it and the author’s note actually explains it very well why Konrad felt it was necessary to kill Jeorme. I recommend reading at least that part of the creator’s note for s2.

This is right. He already suffered so much and I think in his case, he’s beyond saving. The toxin already spread throughout his body and his mental health is on the verge so sooner or later he will eventually die. It’s either because his body can’t take it anymore or his brain can’t. What Konrad did is already a mercy for him and I think Jerome also want Konrad to end his misery.

ngl for the first 2 chapters, I genuinely thought this story was between a human and a shapeshifter lol, then felt sad why treat human so badly. then i was fine; the story was too good, wish there were more side stories
