Why can't there be manhwas that don't have SA, r@pe, coercion, etc? I'm really getting tired of reading these types of manhwas; it's not good for mental health. 8 out of 10 BL manhwas are all the same: with a weak bottom/uke/MC/omega/etc and a dominant top/seme/ML/Alpha that is rich and abuses his power with money to get what he wants through threats, coercion, SA, r@pe, or because the MC is in debt and basically goes as an indentured sex servant to the seme/ML.... and holds them hostage and of course stockholm syndrome takes effect. IMO, if I were ever in that position, I would just exit myself; why suffer through that much torture, threats, etc....
I finished reading the novel, and I think Cheongwoo tries to fight Stockholm syndrome, but like a typical weak character, Cheongwoo (MC/bottom) and Gu Wonjae (ML/top) end up together in the end. Gu Wonjae does have a very small redemption arc, but IMO it should have been longer. Cheongwoo ends up getting caught after I think maybe two to three weeks of being missing; I don't remember. He was caught because Gu Wonjae's people were tailing the previous server, Hwang Seongyeon (he gave Cheongwoo the walkie-talkie: see chapters 46 & 47). Of course, being the asshole that Gu Wonjae is, he threatened Cheongwoo with his grandmother's health and the safety of those he holds dear to him, so Cheongwoo went back with him, but not before beating up Hwang Seongyeon. Although I got pissed off at Hwang Seongyeon, he got drunk with Cheongwoo and tried to take advantage of him. So I didn't feel too bad that Hwang Seongyeon got his ass beaten by Gu Wonjae.
Sighs....I just knew that server guy was pinning for uke...was really hopeful he wasn't like that...tsk....And our baby squirrel got caught in 3wks! Damn was expecting maybe half a year or something....

I generally like BL stories but lately a lot of them are crossing the line. You don't need to have gang r@pe, sadistic psychological abuse, to have a good BL story. Now I need to watch something that'snot this! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I'm surprised Jaeyi(ML/Top) has the door code to Ideum's (MC/bottom) place; they're just fuck buddies/FWB. Jaeyi even spends the night, takes a shower there, and has a toothbrush!!! What's next? Getting a drawer and leaving clothes at Ideum's place? When Jaeyi lives just across from Ideum's building? That is a totally weird situationship/FWB. He just comes and goes as he pleases....
Now the meeting with the mother, uggg, I just wanted to slap her in the face! What kind of parent blames their child for them feeling "lonely"? WTF? If you're lonely or having issues, get therapy, talk to someone; your child is not responsible for your emotional well-being. Ideum was just a sick child!!! By the looks of the scar, he had some type of open-
heart surgery, a major one! It sucks that Ideum has no support whatsoever; he is such an introvert with self blame is just a recipe for disaster and self-harm. Jaeyi has his own issues as well; he's not a happy person, changes partners frequently, and doesn't take responsibility for why the "relationship" ended. It takes two people to be in a relationship... I feel like Ideum and Jaeyi are going to trauma bond due to their own particular trauma, which is not a good thing.
Let's not forget that the father cheated while Ideum was having open-heart surgery, and the father dared to blame it on both the mom (nagging) and drowning in Ideum's medical bills. The dad cheated because he "needed to breathe, to stay sane." That is such a poor excuse for a father and a man. Of course, it didn't help Ideum's mental health to argue in the house where they could be heard by him. So Ideum lived in his own fantasies created in his head to escape the shitty reality that he was living with his parents.
