duke has rebound love, or misplaced/confused lobe at the start. but i didnt really feel any attachment from him so i could root for him for her
ciel is infatuated, or admiration for a teacher or mother-figure in a form of a friend
while mio, he took his time and it was honest love and admiration without asking anything in return,
so i dont understand the ending, the part where they choose who to go with her. it just didnt match the build up of the characters
