Of course it turns to be like THIS, because it's absolutely clear this promise-thing is just the most dumbest and completely UNNECESSARY plot point that the most dumbest author in history added out of nowhere to provide the most dumbest reason for the most dumbest MC's outrageously dumbest actions. The author even fuckin forced ML, who had been the only sensible and truly thoughtful person in this fuckin trash who had dedicated his life to protecting and supporting MC for over decade, to act unnaturally and OOC (making him act as if he was seriously aiming for the chairman's seat, and without even explaining his reasons to MC), making he looks like an idiot.

So, of course the dumbest author can't handle this dumbest mess thoughtlessly made by herself and has no single way but to put the dumbest MC in the dumbest state where he couldn't remember any single memory with his childhood friend of nearly 15 years, which could only be attributed to amnesia, and to force him to remember in this dumbest way.

I truly can't believe that a writer who can irresponsibly dismiss the protagonist's actions and words, which are consistently riddled with contradictions or even absolutely inhuman and offer no justification whatsoever from the very beginning of the story, by saying, "I meticulously depicted their past, and those events are deeply rooted not only in the relationship between the two characters up to the present, but also in MC's way of life and identity as an Omega or a person, but for some reason MC has no memory of any of it, so it can't be helped," is able to make a living as a commercial author.

Many readers' conclusion that there's no freakin' room to justify MC is clearly based on completely FAIR examination of each character's actions and words over the years ; he has been ONLY riddled with full of contradictions, huge lies and self-love, lacks any consistency, any thoughts or reflection even at least level, and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING MAKE SENSE from the very beginning of the story up until now.

Those who desperately keep trying to defend MC and blame ML of all people even now, are EXACTLY THE ONE WHO IS blind, unfair, illogical and advertising their biased hosting and attitudes. It's truly hilarious.
They are so nonsensical that I always lost interests to read after just a few words. Reading them only leads to nausea or dizziness; our opinions won't change, they'll only be reinforced. What a good job
