*more spoilers*
When Nathan sees Alex lying there bloody in the street, he regrets never telling Alex that he loves him, and the truth is that he never got over Alex but he was just so hurt that he wanted to avoid him and the truth to protect himself. When Alex is in the hospital Nate never leaves his side and they finally talk about the truth and admit their feelings for each other. Nate is the type of lover who wants to spoil Alex and be really attentive and take care of him. He invites Alex to live with him after he leaves the hospital because he needs several months to recover and can’t go out in the field
It turns out the murderer was working for the father of the guy on Alex’s team, David Mack, who is very rich and powerful and is a large shareholder of a pharmaceutical company. They were doing tests on betas because David’s younger brother Ian, the omega that Alex was forced to date for a while, has a disease relating to his omega traits so they’re trying to find a cure. The police track them down and arrest them trying to flee the country and even Karlyle from DTR is helping out with arrest so he’s gonna make a cameo! Nathan’s oldest brother Nick is there too
