I finished Pearl Boy a long time ago, but even now, the emotions it left me with remain as vivid as ever. To put it simply, this manhwa makes me feel incredibly happy and utterly miserable at the same time, and I think that is what makes it so special to me.
I genuinely admire its lore, storytelling, and the way every element of the plot comes together with such depth and meaning. Nothing feels entirely without purpose, and the story manages to capture the complexities of human nature in a way that feels painfully real. While reading it, I experienced an overwhelming sense of anger, frustration, and rage. It is, without a doubt, one of those stories that knows exactly how to provoke its readers and make them feel things they never expected to feel. And Pilwon? I absolutely cannot stand him. (Ew.)
But beneath all the cruelty, suffering, and heartbreak, I believe Pearl Boy tells us something profoundly beautiful about humanity. It reflects the darker sides of human existence: the misery we endure, the pain we carry, the anger that consumes us, and the greed that can strip people of their humanity. Yet, amidst all that darkness, the story gently reminds us that there is still light to be found. That even after enduring so much, there can be warmth, kindness, healing, and hope. Sometimes, all it takes is a little sunshine to make the world feel bearable again.
I cried so much while reading this manhwa. There were moments when the emotions felt almost too overwhelming to contain, as though every painful twist and tender moment was reaching straight into my heart. It touched something deep within me, leaving behind a tenderness that was both beautiful and heartbreaking. Some stories make you cry because they are sad, but others make you cry because they make you feel everything so intensely. Pearl Boy was undoubtedly the latter for me.
Despite all the hardships, injustices, and suffering woven throughout the beginning of the story, I am grateful that it ultimately leads to a happy ending. After everything the characters have endured, seeing them find their way toward happiness feels like a quiet reward for every tear shed along the way. It reminds me that even when life seems unbearably cruel, there is still a possibility of finding peace and that happiness can exist even after the most painful chapters.
I don't think I could ever fully put into words how much this story means to me. It made me angry, it broke my heart, it made me cry, and, somehow, it also gave me so much warmth. It is a story that hurts you in ways you don't regret, because somewhere between all the pain and heartbreak, it teaches you to appreciate the beauty of love, resilience, and the little moments of happiness that make life worth living.
I like Pearl Boy. No, that's an understatement.

Hence why their dorm rooms window is covered up. Jayoung eventually met Seungmin, a very well know South Korean rapper born and raised in Brazil.
Seungmin gets interested in jaeyoung, finds out that he was an ex-idol—saw his potential and decided to collab with him, with seungmins stage name being Happy, and so was Jaeyoungs, Seungmin came up with the name “Happy Twogether” for their collab. Seungmin and his sister coincidentally have been investigating on H-100 so now he’s on a mission to help jaeyoung somehow heal from the effects of this horrible drug. Of course, both of them grow to like each other as time passes by, they just haven’t put a label on their relationship yet.
It’s confirmed that Seungmin obviously loves jaeyoung, and jaeyoung feels the same towards Seungmin. It’s just that with his condition and lack of experience he’s probably struggling to figure that part out atm. So the main problem at hand rn is how to catch Jun, and with the recent chapter it seems that Seungmins dad might be involved with the distribution of this drug. So he’s worried that his father might be the main reason why jaeyoungs life was ruined in the first place.

Well, spoilers... Amon is actually a dragon, and the MC apparently died in his past life and was swallowed by him... so technically, the MC is literally a part of amon, made from him. They’re basically mates, and amon can’t live without his mate. So no matter what happens—even if the MC hates him—he can’t really separate himself from him. Hence... they ultimately end up together anyway with Gwen
so the three of them are gonna be together and happy?
Actually, I didn't read the full novel, and it was a long time ago, so I don't remember everything clearly. But I think basically what happens is that they part ways for ten years. Gwen and the MC together live separately during that time, while amon goes into hibernation, I guess. After those ten years, the MC meets him again.
And I don't think it ends with a typical happy ending. From what I remember, they basically just tolerate each other. It's not exactly the typical “everyone happily becomes a threesome” ending. I don't think they actually have threesomes either; they have separate relationships and separate time with him. But again, I might be misremembering parts of it because I never actually finished the full ending.
