Random ass death, It caught me so off guard..I was making up a bunch of scenarios in my mind on how it’d end for jaeha but it wasn’t him..getting hit by a truck, the fact that it could’ve been easily avoided makes me more sad, he didn’t have to die that way
And then there was a time skip and I just feel like there could’ve been more to the ending, it happend so fast. I feel extremely bad for jaeha but I feel WORSE for yoseob, due to his actions, his ending was realistic to tell the truth and that just makes it so depressing. he had to go through hell as a child and then had to live with the trauma without getting any proper help, his only comfort to his pain being his brother-and then losing him like that just to hallucinate him in the end to soothe himself because he’s truly all alone now oh my god. This manhwa is going to leave me thinking for a while.
I think that's what makes it so good though, because despite the strength of their bond, they were separated by natural causes they couldn't control. Much like everything that was spiraling out of control for them, Yoseob's inability to contain his inner fears and growing obsession, Jaeha's desperation to protect Yoseob, and everything amalgamating, every wire loosening, until it all wound up to a bleak, unexpected death. It truly shows that nothing is permanent, despite how much you can try to strive for that permanence in a false sense of normalcy. It was a quick, snap end, which also kind of pulls us as readers out of our narrowed perception of this work as just fiction, that we too belonged to the world to a certain extent, to get attached, absorbed, and to watch as it all falls in such a natural way that none of us expected. The author and artist is a genius. Genuinely broke me.
