Also… like, yeah, the fl did misunderstand him and want revenge on him, but that’s because he misunderstood her and wanted to kill her in their past life because he misunderstood her as an accomplice. Did everyone forget chaoter 1? like bruh her revenge didn’t come out of nowhere, she didn’t misunderstand he hated her, because he straight up told her he hated her and wished he could kill her, because he misunderstood her. How is she supposed to know the reason why he wanted her dead? And since she misunderstood him as an evil guy trying to take her down for seemingly no reason of course she takes him down in this life.

He’s so cute i want his love to come true and I want her to be happy with him and pampered by him too.

Premise is cliche, but that’s literally the same with most otome isekai. Girl is evil due to being blinded by her love for the prince or her brother or whoever and then meets a bad end and goes back in time to correct her mistakes. You probably had a dozen otome isekais with that premise flash in your mind (the evil cinderella needs a villain, the villainess lives twice, I’ll twist the neck of a sweet dog, etc.) Usually it’s the oi premise for fls who are on the more ruthless and calculating side or more “villainous” than traditional heroic fls, as the only reason such a fl would possibly agree to do such foolish actions is out of obsessive affection.

What’s different, though is that this fl had a baby with ml, and she also changed and had a life with him before her ex came for her head. She sacrificed herself to protect the estate too, and developed a lot before getting sent back in time, instead of being immediately chucked back in time after realizing the guy she liked was a snake all along.

The fl is powerful within realistic means (not to say I dislike unrealisticness. This is fiction after all). She can’t just barge up to her ex or her dad and then punch the crap out of them and shit talk them and they get defeated in two panels. She is calculating and behaves like a double agent. They’ve probably already begun to realize she might not be on their side like in the late 30s chapters, but still need to cling to her in the hopes she’ll get them out of dire straights, and she also rewards them to gain their trust and is pretty good at obscuring her actions. She does not solely rely on her knowledge as a time traveller, but has some skills of her own too. The fl is also talented in alchemy.

Fl is smart in general and can easily figure things out. She is observant. However, when it comes to romance, she seemed to be pretty clueless to the ml’s feelings. That was what I thought originally, but then it seemed highly plausible that she didn’t want to acknowledge his feeling for her because of how guilty she felt, like when she said that the woman he loved was a wicked woman (and that was definitely referring to herself).

The ml is sweet but misunderstood because he is clueless about communicating his feelings. He basically doesn’t want to burden her so he keeps to himself for the most part. Sometimes he has jealous outbursts or gets possessive but immediately feels guilty afterwards. Ml literally only married her so that she can be free from her family who hates her for being an alchemist and he can support her in doing whatever she wants. He’s fine with fl cheating (albeit getting insanely jealous), fine with her betraying him, and literally told her he doesn’t care if she’s a good person. He’s also very defensive and always takes her side, even if other people have a good reason for getting mad at her (like the prince with the broken legs).

The ml was treated like cursed trash since he was born and they threw him out in the battlefield to die, and the fl was the only one who cared about him and hid him even if she would get locked up in the basement as punishment. She treated him like normal too and not some mutant. That’s why the ml fell in love with her. He remembers her but she doesn’t recognize that he was that boy. Fl doesn’t want to love him anyways because she wants him to be happy with another girl instead of someone like her, and his pure and honest eyes and good self caused her to put up a wall between herself and him because she doesn’t consider the two of them to be the same breed. She’s also just distrustful of people in general.

Fl succeeds in keeping her feelings at bay and is super cold for a while, but after all the things ml did for her, there was no way she could stop herself from letting her feelings for him out, no matter how guilty she felt.

The 2nd ml, oscar, is very fine, and this is one of those rare situations where I really like both the ml and 2nd lead. Unfortunately there is only one protag, and ml was a good husband to her for two lifetimes as well as the father of her child, so oscar never stood a chance. I wish he finds his own happiness. It makes me sad watching all those sweet 2nd mls be miserable for the rest of their life because they’re unable to forget the fl.

I always get second lead in these kind of stories, but this gave me the worse case of second lead syndrome in existence. Like, after the scene where she cried over the second lead on the television as he was frantically searching for her just made me not want to continue this anymore knowing she’ll end up with the male lead.

Ok, I thought I was really going to dislike this ml, especially after he stole her strawberries in the beginning, but like, he ended up being one of my favorite mls. I know some people really like bad boys, but I don’t (not bashing on anyone who does, simply stating I don’t), but after seeing this ml I feel like I totally understand the appeal of bad boys, but only for this ml because this ml is just very good. He’s very hot but also very sweet but also kind of unhinged. I don’t have any words to describe, but this story is very show not tell. A lot of the things he does are very meaningful but you’d have to see for yourself. Also I don’t recommend reading spoilers as its really good and hits hard in the story.

[like there were minor things that were impactful, like him snatching and throwing away the ice cream he gave her after seeing she still hasn’t eaten it, but eventually major things start happening like when he sacrifices his reputation and future for her sake after her brother beat someone up and he shifted the blame to himself, and when she leaves him in the snow and pretends to make out with the other guy, and he starts smoking again and goes crazy with the alcohol, and later when he tries to crash his car into the other guy but stops himself and crashes himself into a pole and bleeds and gets injured instead. ]

He’s just really chaotic, a guy who really wanted to control his feelings but is completely unable to, so he gives into them.

Ok, a lot of people dislike the female lead because seeing all this with the male lead is pretty gut wrenching. Technically she didn’t do anything wrong, since she doesn’t have to like him, and her reasons for not liking him are valid: because he murdered someone in her past life, and also because of his fans, and she doesn’t want any sort of trouble in this life after her miserable past life. She wants to not get distracted so that she can get into a good college and pay off her adopted father’s debt. To be honest, I’m glad to finally see a female lead who didn’t just casually dismiss murder, and has strong will and actual pride in herself and standards and self esteem, but like, at the same time, out of all the stories, why did this one have to have the strong female lead T-T. Watching the ml is just gut wrenchingly sad once you reach the later chapters. Anyways, the fl doesn’t like having any debts, and plans on 0 romance and 0 trouble, so she’s always trying to refuse his favors, and also always tries to find ways to get rid of him. She does bandage him when he gets wounded, and doesn’t cause him any physical pain, but she’s as cold as ice and spends every second avoiding him and trying to get him away from her, so ml’s heart is always getting stabbed by needles, and even if he doesn’t want to like her he can’t stop himself.

Well, I like stories with simp mls, but a lot of ppl might consider this ml pathetic or a fool. I suppose it’s preference. Like how I don’t usually like stories with a simp fl because mls who don’t initiate enough affectionate gestures just aren’t as attractive to me. In the beginning of this, the ml won’t seem pathetic, and the ml seems playful, but the ml later on becomes very very pitiful, though he’s still always a smooth talker. But yeah, there is a lot of character change.

I like this bcos of the smut ngl, I wanted the ml to rail the fl since the first time I saw them make out. Fl is weak but she’s actually cute instead of seeming pathetic, and ml treats her so preciously but istg his pants are gonna rip one of these days.

I would have just told feudalism to go fuck itself, left that hell hole, and gone off to be a mercenary.

The ml is smoking hot, and he actually tries to get fl to like him instead of locking her up or putting her in a contract marriage or whatever. The plot is pretty much nothing, this story is just there so you can watch the hot ml pamper the fl. The ml is very cheesy and sweet but this is more like a wish fulfillment read than a cohesive story (I like wish fulfillment reads though and wish there were more of them instead of everything trying to be realistic or deep or some grand story 24/7). The fl seems cute to me and also lowkey funny, she tries to act tsundere but fails miserably. The parrot is also really funny by virtue of being the only sane one there.

Yet another redemption manhua. I read to chapter 65 elsewhere. Female lead gets drugged by her sister and lands in the bed of some horny guy who can’t keep his hands off her. She marries him, and while I still think he was relatively crappy, she’s super happy because he atleast celebrated her birthday and treated her somewhat like a human instead of an animal (unlike her parents and older sister).

The trouble begins when the dumb as a brick male lead is convinced she’s cheating on him and demands to have her baby aborted (thanks to the schemes of her older sister). She knows she didn’t cheat, so she refuses to abort her baby.

The ml treats this pregnant woman in the most disgusting way possible. He kills their relationship with his own two hands. He sleeps with a bunch of women and beings them into the mansion (though he later reveals he hired them to make her miserable but couldn’t bring himself to sleep with them), and treats her like trash on the roadside (though he doesn’t go too far like any physical or sexual violence). This was like his revenge sort of thing because he believes she cheated on him, but he didn’t want to break up so he kept her in the mansion by force and prevented her from escaping and divorcing.
She manages to escape because *spoiler in brackets* [ml’s sister thinks she accidentally killed fl so tries to hide her body, but fl was still alive].

Then she becomes a “baddie” [joins an assasin guild, became a famous killer, and judo throws him when he tries to work things out at a party].
She did take him back pretty quickly, but she didn’t really forgive him and told him he better make it up to her, which he gladly agreed to. The reason their relationship recovered was really dramatic [her 5 year old son threw knives at him and said he wanted to kill ml for what he did to them, and ml didn’t dodge but let the son hit him out of guilt, causing him to almost lose his life and making them feel bad].

The ml is basically super simpy now and blushes around her a lot and is very affectionate. He was always a closeted simp but didn’t want to show his feelings because of arrogance, but because she left him for so many years, he became desperate. He was pretty much miserable and broken without her.

The second lead was pretty simpy too, but as expected of these stories he got perpetually friend zoned. Luckily they didn’t turn him into the most atrocious guy in the world and just left it at friend zone.

There are, like, 2 villainesses, so far. There are good female characters as well, but they don’t appear until later. I’d say some of her other sisters maybe kind of good, and the girls in that murder group.

All the villainesses met horrible ends. [her sister got drugged and raped twice and tortured for years and then had a painful death, and ml’s sister was trapped in jail until she went crazy and then when she escaped someone ran her over with a car.]

There are shitty guys too like her dad and the traitor of the assassin group but the revenge against them is stale so far.

I love system manhuas. This one is a bit sad how much they try to stay together, even though they’ll be forced apart and her memories wiped, but atleast we know they’ll reunite again. The female lead is childish but it’s likeable, and she also doesn’t allow herself to get bullied or humiliated. It ends at chapter 143.
