I think the part about how the uke is only into older men because he's only ever pursued those types of men and the origin of that probably is that he never had a father figure is pretty realistic. I've read a lot of bl with a similar premise (I cant date you because...) but I find this to be relaxingly simple and real.
This story is pretty good but I really have a hard time suspending my disbelief about why everyone constantly hates Louie. I think the mangaka really wanted him to seem totally isolated and pitiable but in the process made him a character thats kind of all pure with no faults and everyone else is just stupid or senselessly horrible if they oppose him. They tried to combat that by putting in the scene showing the soldiers that were injured because of the drama caused by Louie and his brother but its just hard to believe that no one can put their two braincells together to see that hes practically a shivering fawn who was never written to have a bad thought in his life. A bad actor from a foreign country came and instigated a war out of nowhere and everyone just goes with his narrative? Okay I guess...
The other thing I find a little strange is that Louie is referred to as a man. I dont think it was ever up to him to decide what he was, and he has fully functional female organs and even menstruation. Intersex people can not have full functionality in both organs, its impossible, so it makes more sense to have raised him as a girl even if his breasts never developed. Its just kind of odd to me, but after all, this is technically a BL and the author just wanted him to be able to give birth i guess. Ultimately I just feel like there were a lot of things I found unsatisfying. Regardless the art is very very beautiful and im its got a lot more plot then half of the stuff out there so all power to the mangaka if people liked it.
After all these years its still great. When I first encountered this I couldnt explain how it made me feel, it was so mesmerizing. Its interesting to see im not the only one who feels that way.
People are becoming addicted to violent porn and it creates and addiction that needs to be fed more and more violent porn as you are desensatized to it. I really worry about teenagers being exposed to this, it'll warp your perception of what sex should be and cloud your judgement before you even realise it. "dont like dont read" believe me i get it, but if this hit a chord with you, really consider what media you're consuming because no ones going to protect you if you're doing it in secret, you have to protect yourself.
( not a reader of this story ) but wonderfully said point, it hurts to see young teens reading things like this because they are slowly trying to tell their conscious it’s okay when it’s not even if it’s fiction. some things should never be given attention to.

Actually same, but when I found it I was kind of intrigued not because of the killings and Sangwoo's crazy shit, but how the story unfolded from there. And I agree, kids are so exposed to social media and because they can't really grasp of what they see and encounter online, things happens. Like you said it desensitized them so much. I just hope parents really try to guide their children and monitor these kids because a 10 year old shouldn't be binging on two fictional men fcking each other or beating someone up and call it rough smex. I mean, I was also at a young age when I found bl (even killing stalking), I'm proud of being a fujoshi myself but finding it at such a young age was something I'm ashamed of.

I really want to like it since there's so much content but it's just a generally frustrating read. I can handle a possessive, evil lover but clearly thats not what the ml is supposed to be and yet.... he keeps doing evil awful things constantly. Its not just thats he's "not perfect" he's more selfish and wicked then he is redeemable. He's not in love with him at all he's just obsessed. The inconsistencies in the character are really annoying. I don't want to be rude but, its just plain bad writing, to be so sloppy with your character development and story.
It really hooked me at the start but the ending was so-so, honestly I didn't really get it. Kind of felt like the author was rushed or didn't really have a plan for how to have them end up together. I don't think the rape was unwarranted like people are saying, it was totally warranted are you kidding? This guy is a psycho, obviously he's not going to respect his sexual boundaries or dignity, he's scum. It's expected. But I do agree that him ending up with the stalker was a bad way to end it, an ending where they remained unreconciled or it culminating in disaster was clearly taking shape along the way, I felt like. Anyways, it was okay, I get how it's nostalgic for people.

Gosh I've been so sick of the garbo plots in BL lately, even if something seems like an interesting premise the mangaka can never seem to put in the effort for a comprehensive plot. So this is really refreshing to see.
