I can't stand people who act "woe is me" in their heads, misunderstanding as they want and not communicating only to act like they're the ones who have been wronged. Open your effing mouth and speak like a frigging 29 year old. these kinds of tropes are cute for teens and early 20s characters, not 30 year olds. it's stupid AF!
the number of times I went "ugh I hate this guy" while reading this... and literally flipping through on the next button just to get to the end and give this a befitting 1 star review cause smh.

also, this MC acts like he's the only one with a thought process (albeit a shitty one). you think because you're a beta, you're the only one with problems? according to you, alphas don't have problems? it's stupid AF.
this ML (the alpha) has been showing you with his actions, cooking for you, spending time with you, building a hospital with you in mind, caring for you and your trauma (that you lied about) but somehow /HE/ is the "evil" in the story you've built in your stupid head? damn I hate delusional people. As I'm at that age now, none of this feels cute. I keep putting myself in this scenario and thinking "this MC would be a nightmare to date".
Also, he's dumb as a rock! how can you be in health care, show all the signs of an Omega, the scent, the leaking behind, people "confusing" you for an Omega, a forum where all the replies tell you you're an Omega, and you STILL don't know you're an Omega. or even suspect it.
ugh. if I was the writer of this story, season 2 would be the alpha moving on to find another lover, preferably a beta, to make it obvious the secondary gender was not the problem. and leave this stupid MC to his world of misery.

I haven't read the book and judging by how I'm feeling, I most likely won't (lol) but we seem to give a lot of leeway to ukes, omegas (and in this case betas) while holding tops to some unattainable standards.
While I really don't mind the noncon in manhwa (heck, I go for stories with that tag sometimes)... this was possibly the one instance where it was absolutely not necessary. I mean I felt it coming when Yuri started "drinking so much", that drunken sex was gonna happen (most likely with both of them being drunk) and just because after he sobered up, he said he enjoyed it/ went on and on about how beautiful Xianlu is, doesn't negate the fact that this was non consensual. He was *PASSED OUT DRUNK* and got hard. that is not reason to finger and fuck someone no matter how much they "like" you... and I guess I'm just pointing this out because the story glosses over that part, acts like it was fully consensual, uses anecdotes like Yuri saying he liked it but that's like saying "oh the SA victim orgasmed because they were asking for it/liked it" which I think is ridiculous.
even the story tags did not have rape in it, so I had to add it.
1. I get that fictional SA is not the same as rl SA.
2. I don't mind it in stories, heck I actually like it most times.
3. this is being talked about because there was literally NO CAUSE for rape. as the story was progressing, Yuri would have consensually had sex with Xianlu anyway.
4. The writer brushed it off. at the very least, label them (and approach the storytelling) as a toxic love pair, but trying to paint them as "romantic" in the context of rape is just wild to me. especially when it's literally the morning after!
5. the tags didn't have the rape tag because of how the scene was written. "oh he was conscious a few times during the night and said he liked it when he woke up"

I followed this till like chapter 95 before giving up on it completely. It's a mess of a story. maybe because everyone looks like everyone and it's just messy.
Initially the story split and focused on each pair (kinda like Better than Strangers) and then they just slammed every character into every chapter and considering they ALL look THE SAME, it's headache-inducing trying to keep up.
A shame, because I really really liked this storry and was looking forward to the white-haired sunbae getting with the short fudanshi. or at least a threesome relationship with the other guy he "likes" smh.

I rolled my eyes so hard when he was introduced my interest in this story went from 10 to 6 so fast.

The story was so refreshing too. that's what is so upsetting to me. They had all the makings of a "pining, unaware of feelings" type story.
I'm all for conflict in stories but it just starts to feel so-so, especially with how this character was introduced. there was just something slimy about it.
these story writers keep fucking up good stories just to extend them as long as they can. ML had no tendencies of abusive obsessive behavior. ZERO. and then in the span of 3 chapters where he's absolutely smitten with Yeomin, he's suddenly this "big bad".
I really want to know what goes on in the head of these writers because " obsessive top" is also not always "let me lock you up against your will" but that's what these stories always resort to?

he has been shown as obsessed since the starting of season 2. reread chapter 34. when yeomin talks about moving out, taeso says he wouldn’t have brought him here if he were to let him move out. then not to mention, taeso has been a control freak over how much time yeomin spends in college, with friends et al. this isn’t random at all.
he was pouty about it at best.
often, his obsessiveness was written as "Yeomin said he'd spend all his nights with him... he is looking forward to it enough to cancel all important business plans... yeomin then cancels plans... and he reacts by going to pick him up". and in similar manner. Yeomin offers, he takes it back, Taeso pouts. nothing about it was " I'd lock you up against your will. Also, he's always been the "you said you want this, so I did it" type. Yeomin missed him, so he drove all the way to pick him up. and it's supposed to make sense that this person is suddenly locking him up against his will? getting angry when he asks to leave?
I'd understand more if he let Yeomin go when he asked to, because "last night you were telling me you loved me while high on sex but I knew that was a lie anyway. you can go. your feelings were not real anyway." only to later get obsessive AFTER he leaves because he comes to terms with his own feelings. Not to immediately jump to locking him up. for what? currently, what is Taeso's reason for keeping Yeomin locked up and under tight security?
