The ML having long hair and looking pretty is the only reason I stayed reading lol. First, the romance happens too fast (he’s already in love with her by like chapter 5 because everything happened OFFSCREEN). Also, what do you mean the ML is perfectly fine with the fact he fell in love with someone who faked herself to be his ideal person to the point she stalked his likes and interests and mimicked them but never really cared about them??? Excuse me???

The FMC can’t make up her mind if she truly loves him (oh he’s horrible, oh he doesn’t love me, oh he’ll protect me, oh fate wants us apart), and frankly it feels more like SHE doesn’t love him than he not loving her (seriously, it’s infuriating to hear her complain about him going to the OG!FL and then when he is all for going to her instead of the other gal she just goes “no it’s okay talk to her idc” like mmmMMMMMM I can tell this story wants its FMC to be manipulative without actually having the guts to make her manipulative)

Honestly the story got interesting when the ML started showing dark and possessive tendencies but then the story does nothing with it (yeah sure he caused her father to die but it was an accident uwu. Totally not like we could have gotten an actually interesting conflict out of the ML going so overboard he actually killed her father). It’s also annoying how every guy likes her and wants to help her and is interested in her. I can understand that with the OG!FL because she’s legit cool and interesting. But this FMC is so weak-willed and undecided and easily swayed and feels too flippy floppy to be of interest to the men around her (who all seem to view her as property aside from the Dominic guy who actually has her interests at heart in wanting to bring her somewhere she can belong safely and free to live her own life. Too bad he’s got like zero personality OTL)

I think if the story had slowed down, built things up ahead of time instead of explaining them out of the blue as needed, made the FMC genuinely manipulative and hurt/pettily angry at her LI, and had the LI dude had more conflict between choosing his old love and new and learning what true love means to him we could have gone more interesting places than what we’re currently getting

Finally found the raws for this manga and the next few chapters are actually fun, particularly if you like figuring out what’s going on with Helene, Lyla/Fian, or getting some progress on plot points

Spoilers:
-Chapter 71 is start of next arc (going to Atlantis) Seems like it’s Daniel’s (blue dragon guy’s) turn in the story.

-baby Helene shows up next chapter. I am obligated to say she’s very adorable and it sucks what’s happened to her

-we are coming back to the plot point of why Helene bought magic stone bombs. The story has already given away why she would do that (twice, at that)

-Helene is a very tragic and sympathetic person. Won’t spoil what the heck is up with her but let’s just say she’s definitely neither a good person nor a bad person and I love the intrigue of her last words to Lyla :) especially because the implications of them are pretty damn curious

-we’re addressing the Helene scene shown in the first chapter. And leaving open the mystery of how Lyla betrayed her (I-I think but it’s not exactly clear)

-if you hate the Emperor now…oh he gets worse :Dc the Empress too :Dc

-Fian/Lyla is a thing. Frankly I’m ehhh on them but to shippers of them you get your wishes lmao

-empire political situations continue to happen. Lyla almost gets locked up. Helene and Lyla definitely should get to be sisters and their interactions make me awwwww over them (also Helene is such a well written character she’s absolutely the most interesting and nuanced character in this story it’s great omg)
